Hello, My name is Jacob, and I am working on developing an Online Marketing Business that will encompass Social Media and SEO. So far I have spent a year researching, testing, and learning many different methods on advertising through the popular platforms. I plan to use this website to publish my journey and record my successes/failures in my marketing adventure, so it can help you jump over the
pitfalls you may come across. I am also interested in learning the philosophy behind how to use my time most effectively to accomplish my business driven goals. I first started on this journey by watching an ad by Tai Lopez. He talking about how I can become wealthy though social media advertising. I dived right in and failed with every attempt, because the information that he gave me was only the surface and I needed a more in depth understanding of the social media inner-workings. Tai Lopez has still been a valuable mentor for me and I listen to his podcasts on a regular basis. But, I consider Gary Vaynerchuk to be the most valuable Social Media mentor that I have. He explains the process in such an enthusiastic and precise way, it motivates me to try his methods.. He teaches that hard work is the epitome to any business endeavor, and that engagement with your audience is key to marketing. Gary has pointed me to the power of Instagram, Influencer Marketing, Snapchat and YouTube. Even though I have knowledge in about every popular social media platform, my expertise resides in Instagram, SEO, Facebook ads and YouTube (in that order). I’ve have grown my Instagram following to over one thousand followers of a niche targeted audience, and it grows my about 20 followers everyday. I have built out multiple different websites and have done my research for target specific keywords that will help me rank in the top 3 in google. I have used Facebook Ads to send Facebook users to an E-commerce site. And I am currently learning how to use YouTube to gain a massive subscriber list and to grow my brand. This has all been in an attempt to work on my own time, on my own inspiration and succeed on my own terms. I want personal freedom to do what I want when I want; Marketing online just so happens to be what I want. It was a found passion after working on it for a while; I see it as figuring out a complex puzzle, and I love puzzles! I truly believe the world is excelling towards social media as the main source of everyday life (if it’s not already there by now). If you don’t have a Facebook, Snapchat, or Instagram; your piratically a nobody. This is were everyone interacts, and this is also the best place to get to your customers. Mentors of mine make millions of dollars every year off of marketing their product on social media. Social Media is a low cost entry point, extremely manipulable, and can be easily integrated into any project you want to draw attention to. There are people out there who share similar interests with you and your product, now with Social Media, now is the easiest time to connect with them.
