One Design At A Time
Crocheted items, hand-made with love.
Had the absolute pleasure of testing pattern by ! Both my girls decided they wanted a top made for them, one in rainbow and one in pink & purple. So you can see the size 6/8 and size 4/5 in this post (kid’s sizes).
Loved making this pattern! Easy to follow instructions and worked up quickly. My girls love their new tops as well ☺️ just in time for Melbourne’s weather to be all and be undecided if it wants to be freezing or boiling 🤣🙈
A 1.75mm hook! It’s so tiny!!!
Whatever could I be crocheting with something so small????
Stay tuned to see…
Hear ye, hear ye!
A Hail Mary but does anyone have a ball, or even half a ball of this particular yarn they’d be willing to part with please?
Desperately need it to finish a dog (just legs and tail to go!) and it’s been discontinued by Spotlight 😭
All help appreciated 🙏❤️
When you’re not crocheting on Saturday night, best get to some repairs!
This penguin is in for a double wing surgery repair at the Jess Vet Hospital 🤣
Also to repair: a swim hooded towel and 2 pairs of pants that have come apart at the seams.
Always something to do!
Crocheting something other than dogs for a change!
Got stuck into some book week costumes for the kiddos this week completing Maisy the Mouse and The Very Super Bear.
I had a Very Cranky Bear this morning but we got there in the end! 🥰
What do you watch while you crochet?
I live watching sport and at the moment I’ve got loads to choose from!
Todays viewing:
Australia defeated Scotland - Netball World Cup in Cape Town
Australia defeated Canada - FIFA Women’s World Cup
Ashes Men’s Cricket - Aussies need 147 to win, only 3 down.
Can I finish a Kelpie before the cricket finishes? 🤣🤣
When the cute shoes you’ve had your eye on are just the perfect size
Oooh, what a cute dress and headband! Goes with the shoes 😉
Who they’re for will be revealed soon! Stay tuned!
Who are these super cute coral shoes for??
Reveal coming next week!
Hint (it’s a pattern by Laura Loves Crochet)
Imagine being such a popular doggo that you get ordered twice!
This cute pupper went all the way to New Jersey, twice!
My customer ordered a replica of his Grandpa’s Kelpie that had just passed. Upon arrival, he loved him so much that he ordered another just for himself!
Today I did something crafty but not crochet. Got stuck into my love for cake decorating with at in Nunwading to produce this amazing “bento box” of cake.
Yum!
What’s everyone up to today? I’ve just checked into Brissy for the next couple of days for work. Crocheted a good section of an egg apron on the flight up from my *cough* business class upgrade *cough*
My long legs and I surely enjoyed allllll the extra room!!
Now for some more crochet with a view.
Anyone else crocheting with a view? What’s your crochet view look like? Feel free to drop a photo in the comments 👇
Alright, first of the year!
As I didn’t post much last year, each Thursday you’ll be getting a look back to the projects I completed during 2022!
Today we have a to this quirky whippet with one blue eye and one brown eye!
Such a cutie 🥰
Okie dokie - it’s been a hot minute since my last posts! Life = crazy. Since July last year I went back to work full time, and it was busier than it’s ever been! So whilst I was crocheting in the background, my socials took a large hit.
So, this little cutie is about to have its pattern written up to (hopefully) be published in a crochet magazine 🤞🙌 BUT I need your help!
I need to change the colours for this little pupper in the pattern.
What do you think they should be?
I look forward to hearing your answers below!
Also for a lot of posts 🤣
🤞
📣 ANNOUNCEMENT: PRICE RISE! 📣
Dear all my amazing customers,
Giving you all fair warning that due to Etsy and Postage fee increases, I also need to increase my prices to ensure I can continue running as the small business that I am.
So, effective from Monday 11.07.2022, all my prices will increase by $10.
Much love,
Jess 😊
It’s been a hot minute since I posted! I just wanted to let you all know I’m still here, crocheting as fast as my hands will let me!
I’ve churned out a lot of puppers lately, so here’s just one beautiful golden lab, with a brown collar, that was sent out not long ago.
🇦🇺 We will remember them ❤️

Have crochet, have headlamp, will travel.
Have a lovely Easter everyone!
We shall be chilling with my little family down in Apollo Bay for the long weekend before I head back to my day job on Tuesday as my maternity leave comes to an end.
When you walk into BCF and buy a headlamp and the cashier asks you where you’re going camping…
Well, actually I just need the headlamp so I can crochet with black yarn at night… 🤣
When the team at Barking For Biscuits contacts you to make up some doggos to match their logo, well, it was my absolute pleasure!!
These doggies have their own pattern (written by me), so I’ll be finalising it and getting it tested before publishing to my page for purchase 😊
So many dogs and cats to make!
Meet Bella from ! I had the pleasure of making Sal, and then was contacted to make a Bella as well.
Bella is currently winging her way to the USA and I’m sure is looking forward to some cuddles when she arrives 😊❤️
Throwback to August when I made and gifted this amazing birthing mum & baby to my fantastic midwife after Katherine birth!
The mumma can birth vaginally or via c-section and the baby has the ability to breastfeed. It also came with a little blankie for the baby. 😍
Sharon was chuffed and she absolutely loved it!
The pattern designed by Laura Loves Crochet an incredibly talented designer and excellent pattern writer of all things crochet ❤️

Does your pup have a cute little quirk like this one?
Good thing eyes come in a range of colours so that it’s easily accommodated! 😊
