Victoria the Wonderdal
The life and times of Victoria the Wonder-dal; an amazing 3 legged Dalmatian with a whole lot of cou
From a sweet friend. Queen Victoria in all her glory. ❤️
Hear ye, hear ye, hear ye…all citizens of the Land of Foeva near and far. It is with unspeakable sadness that I share that Queen Victoria (aka Victoria the Wonderdal) having discharged all the duties entrusted to her on this earth – mastering surgical skills; riding countless times in the royal chariot with Foeva; sleeping on every throne in the castle; testing every back scratch tree; uniting citizens from all walks of life both near and far; and spreading unconditional love, joy and kindness – has earned her royal angel wings. The Queen peacefully crossed over the Rainbow Bridge and instantly having 4 legs again, started to run and play with so many of your loved ones that have crossed before.
It is with deepest gratitude that I (and hopefully all of you) thank Officer John Gurrieri for stopping his squad car for that little Dalmatian with a broken leg laying by the side of the road. Without this simple act of kindness, the Queen never would have had the full life that she had. Likewise, it is with equal gratitude that I thank Pati Dane of DalRescue SoFlorida for believing that something wonderful awaited her royal highness in Miami and for giving me the privilege of loving that ferocious Dal with an attitude and helping her become a kinder and more benevolent being. My life is richer and fuller because of the lessons that she taught me about life and myself. Of course, she would have neva in all of Foeva been so loved globally if you hadn’t opened your hearts to her life and story. Thank you all. It was a wonderful, full life that she lived and it wouldn’t have been possible without all that love.
foeva in my heart,
Foeva

Hard to believe it has been 5 years.
Thank you to everyone who has supported me and Victoria since I began this journey of foot/ankle surgeries in 2020. As most of you know, it has been nothing short of challenging and frustrating. I am recovering well since my last surgery but am facing yet another surgery sometime in the new year to repair damage to my toes that occurred after my first surgery in 2020. Queen Victoria is doing just fine. She is being well cared for by Pati Dane with Dalmatian Rescue SFL.
The changes in my gait since my surgeries have made it challenging for me to manage the stairs at my apartment. I have had to accept that with my and Victoria's limited mobility, it is impossible for me to manage taking her up and down the stairs as she would need to be. It simply isn't safe for either one of us. The outrageous rental market in Miami has made moving not feasible.
For these reasons, I have made the VERY VERY difficult decision that Victoria needs to remain with Pati Dane of Dalmatian Rescue SFL for the foreseeable future. I am financially supporting Victoria as necessary and plan to continue doing so as if she were still with me. I will be able to see her soon.
Please understand that I am heartbroken about this decision. It is a burden that I have carried and am now releasing. I ask for kindness and not negativity or judgement at this time as I deal with this loss of my sweet Queen and my best friend. I hope that we can remain friends even though the Queen's stories have come to an end.
If Victoria's story and antics have changed your life in even the slightest way...made you smile, made you laugh or love a little more...then please open your home to a rescue (if you haven't already). If you can financially support a rescue, please do so. They work tirelessly and with a true calling.
Thank you all for your love throughout the years, you have made my life more full. I wish every one of you love and happiness as you continue on your journeys. Much Love, Foeva
