Nai Nai Makes
Designer. Collab with Hobbii & Sirdar. Corscombe Dorset UK
Perfect 👌
This yarn works so beautifully using two strands at once and starting each yarn from the opposite ends to cross over the flow of the colour change.
This project may have started off with a jumper intended but after much frogging and frustrating attempts to get it to match completely I decided the two panels were meant for a shawl instead it’s gorgeous! And the cotton makes it so weighty. Perfect for wrapping around!

🎉💕⭐️It’s Granny Square Day!! ⭐️💕🎉
Pop to my stories for all my past projects with granny squares I do love a memory trip. See if you can spot which project this squares from?
Scrappy yarn cakes. Double stranded. It’s my go to project!!!
She’s finished! Added the last few rows and the tassels before the sun set. Love this colourway so much! Very fitting for the season. I live close to Westbay where I had the inspiration for the colours in the pebbles on a beach day this time last year. Love that this now holds a great memory.
Hope to have this shawl in my Etsy store soon. If I can part with it that is 😅🤍🐚🤍
Pattern for the scrappy shawl is in my Etsy, Hobbii, Lovecraft, & Ravelry the pattern includes how to create the scrapcakes for this effect.
It’s maybe 31° in my garden but it’s never too hot for a cuppa tea ☕️ I also have two fans going and a hot crochet garment on my lap 🥵 💜💙🩵🤍🩶 when you have to crochet I’m prepared for any condition!
Using more of this one’s
💛It’s time. Time for the most satisfying part of blanket making. The border! Honestly this scrappy blanket has taken some time. But I love the process, I love the ‘grab it and carry on’ approach, like it’s an old buddy. I’m actually kinda sad it’s close to the finish line. Until I start another one! 🤭
This interlocking stitch has been fun!
Pattern tutorial on my YouTube channel for this stitch! Comment STITCH below if you want the link ❤️
I will also add the recipe for the scrapcake to make this on my blog. Links in my bio for there!
For the border I’m working up rounds of moss stitch until I can visualise a cute shell stitch.
Love this project!! Making hexagon cardigans has to be my favourite project!

It’s finished too. I’m currently wearing it and love it! But I’m sat in the garden crocheting something else. (See .its.me.naomi for that!) or I would take finished photos!
I’m loving this yarn! I bought all the shades too, I just want to make all the things! Starting with this Hexagon Cardigan obviously 🙄
Yarn bought and paid for from by called Pebble Haze Prints shade 2D040. I bought 2, I think I may need two more though 😅
Just sharing the yarn love 🩷🩵🧡
Photo dump 😜 most of May and June catch up!
Garden crochet after a long weekend at work. I’m a chef in my day job, at our local Pub. It’s a long shift and busy! But Sundays are my favourite because I get to demolish a roast dinner at the end of play. 🥰😆
Back home in my comfies. A Cider by the fire pit. Listening to the evening birds singing good night to the Sun. ☀️
Pattern is my available via search Grandma Earth Wrap on their website. I’m using the squares for either a jumper or a blanket I’m not really sure yet 😂
Yarn is Aran weighted and a yarn.
I have this addiction. I love making bags. I have so many! Some have handles. One is lined inside. One even has a buckle clasp on the front. But most of them are just the body 😂 I hope to have a full complete collection by 2027? 🙌😂
I had to re-wind this cake up! The mega large one I made has been well worked up into the interlocking blanket so got a tad loose and baggy! Now it is perfectly neat and ready to keep working. Something about the underside of a wounded scrapcake that makes my heart sing!
Hands up if you love Tunisian crochet!?
I am hoping 🤞 to get this written up as a pattern very soon!! Please comment ❤️ if this is something you would love to purchase - THE PATTERN not the scarf!!
It’s scrappy it’s chunky and it’s mega long! 10mm Tunisian crochet hook. 2x 160g scrapcakes made up and 1x 120g of the same shade. In this example, I’ve used Khaki.
Now is definitely the time to start a project like this ready in time for winter!!
Saturday morning crochet, because work will be mental and I need some calm. ☺️
Scrapcakes going well! It’s the interlocking crochet stitch. And the scrap lengths are measured according to how wide I wanted the blanket.
I respun the Giant scrapcake to switch from outside in. I had matched the colourway to follow from the blankets. And spun from the wrong end so here’s the mega scrapcake again in a new colourway 😂👍 probably makes no difference or sense to anyone but me! I know what I mean 😜
Loving this! Tunisian scarf using two scrapcakes and a neutral. 💚🩷💙💜💛🌼🌟
Hexagon cardigan process! These are Hobbii twister yarns each side is worked the opposite to the other. I did use a winder to switch up the start point so the outside became the centre pull. That was more than worth my time so I do not recommend doing this.
So as it stands I have finished the cardigan and I absolutely love it!! I’ve worn it out a few times!! So happy with it! And the compliments are so rewarding. Pop to Hobbii and get your colour changing twister yarns! You will need two of each colourway.
Hey! Big hello and welcome to the new followers graciously hitting follow the past few days, I’m so happy you came by!

Such a pleasure to build the scrapcakes and work up the pattern!.
Pop to my Etsy shop for the Dream Rapture scarf pattern.

I can finally share the project I spent weeks making on the run up to Christmas! My daughter sent me this link from .a.m.e_crochet (funnily I had already spotted the design and thought of her!) immediately bought the pattern and then ordered the yarn the pattern uses! It was a joy to make! I really loved making this bag!! The pattern is called the Elenna Bag .a.m.e_crochet amazingly written and easy to follow.
I will share the finished project next post!
👋 Still here!! Life has totally taken over everything and it’s so amazing!! But content growth hasn’t been my top priority. And I’m so sorry for being so awol. Please forgive me 😢
How has everyone been? What’s on your Hook?!
I’ve been crocheting like a mad person! All gifts and all secrets so that doesn’t help when you need content to keep engaged with your fabulous followers!

Scrapcakes are for weekends when the weather is cold blustery and you have no plans to venture outdoors.
Scrapcakes are for making up projects! So save your scrap yarn because Nai Nai has a plan.
(I’ll be working all weekend so feel sorry for me please but I hope you all get as much crafty time in as possible and the rest of the world leaves you in peace, with cake, there needs to be cake, and coffee. Sorry that’s what I would have been doing if I was off 😂)
What a sight! Scrappy crochet. Coffee and gummie sweets. Crochet is my escape. My therapist. My release of heaviness.
