Was indeed a lovely experience performing at the iconic Prithvi Theatre this morning, in their pure acoustic set up, with no Amplification. Rarely do we get an opportunity to experience this. Thanks to Pancham Nishad, Shri Sashi Vyas Ji, dear Geyata Vyas, dear Kadambari, for giving us this opportunity. 🙏

It was a truly heavenly experience in literal sense to be watching the real Saturn, Jupiter, Moon and Nebula through this magnificent telescope. It gave us goosebumps to see and experience what we had learnt in school textbooks and seen only in pictures till now.

Had a lovely evening yesterday at our Gurukul, as we had the good fortune of having amongst us the legendary Vidushi Padmabhushan Dr N Rajam Ji, for the “Anubhav” series, where she shared her lovely life experiences and music with us. Along with her we had the very talented .music and Shri on tabla.

The raags and their time cycle are truly so apt and inter related that the right kind of ambience inspires us to sing them.
Sitting and spending time with each other under the clouds and peacock around us inspired us to sing a few lines.
We are not singers in any way but still having grown up listening vocal and our fathers compositions inspired us to sing few lines of Gaud malhaar from the treasure of “ Bandish hub “

As students of music , we grow up listening to our Gurus and wish to play or perform like them .. they remain our idol and we try to learn everything from them.
This was one of our most cherished concerts to have our Guruji Padma Vibhushan Pt hari prasad Chaurasia Ji, amongst the audience along with His Highness Maharaja Gaj Singh Ji & Maharani Hemalata Rajye Ji of Jodhpur.
How many of us truly get this opportunity to perform and present our music in front of our gurus sitting through out the concert and blessing us. Truly blessed and humbled.🙏

Thankyou Chindwara for showering us with so much love last evening .. 🙏 so wonderful to see a small little town like Chhindwara hoisting so many classical concerts. The people are so passionate about classical music and the credit goes to a handful of people who started spreading music by teaching and organising concerts. What do you call a cover of a cover song?? A “double cover”?? 😂😂 well inspired by the cover song of by Hinanaaz Bali, here’s my very little version of the same.
In love with this song ever since I heard it. Kept listening to it in loop. Made everybody around me listen to it 😂 finally thought of giving it a try, and play it. So here it is…
This is a prelude of a beautiful song from the 1961..
any guesses which song ? 😀
This was originally played on key flute as the tune is meant and apt for key flute playing however I have tried to play it on our bamboo flute and each time I play it .. I feel there is more to it… the melancholy of this tune is unmatched .. and I just keep trying to get the essence of it.. Hope you would like it.
Don’t forget to let us know which song follows this tune .. am sure many of our younger generation won’t know of it .. 😀
Sharing a small piece of this beautiful song that I had loved so much since the time I heard it and it sort of kept running in my mind and I just wanted to play it at some point of time.
