Burning Dirty
Virginia Valley Omnivorous Rock.
It’s that time again.
Time Change by The Burning Dirty Band From the album Goodbye Dominion
Let us take a moment to celebrate the one-year anniversary of that time 22 power poles collapsed outside of our studio.
BDB Podcast, Episode 1. Burning Dirty Band Podcast; Episode 1: “Bullets in My Derecho” In this episode we take shelter from the storm with a 22-minute jam of “Bullets in My Gun” reminiscent of 24 power poles collapsing simultaneously outside of the band’s studio.
We made an album back in 2007 that described the same economic and social challenges people are facing today. We saw the problem in our own backyard, and assigned the blame accordingly, not according to lost cause delusions. As Virginia artists, we have always rejected the cliches imposed on people from rural areas, particularly the south. We told the truth of our reality without resorting to Confederate-sympathetic redneck cosplay. It’s time to shave your beards beards boys! We can do better y’all!
Goodbye Dominion by The Burning Dirty Band From the album Goodbye Dominion
A little behind the scenes with Steve West in his studio where “Caught”, “17 Year Sun”, and “Goodbye Dominion” were created. Congrats to Pavement on their first gig in Iceland! Please say “hi” to Bjork for us. And also book The Atlantis.
It’s happening!
Let it weird.
THIS SUNDAY!! Great music, awesome raffles and a rockin good time!! See you there!
In this episode, we take shelter from the storm with a 22-minute jam of “Bullets in My Gun” reminiscent of 24 power poles collapsing outside the band’s studio on August 30. Coincidentally, the band, like this improv-fueled song, is 22 and a few odd numbers this year too. Shine on you Dirty diamonds.

Never miss a Sunday show!
Intense songwriting session trying to find a word that rhymes with “purple.”
Long time no see! We recently dug out some photos from the BDB archives. These were taken at our first recoding session at Sauceland Studios with Steve West. Time flies.
Stay Dirty
Like the soul of a band waiting for the bodies to return, again, and again, and again, and again…
