Our Story
About Greatfield Community:
We are a local community group, run by residents for residents who love where they live. Whether you're a long time resident or a newcomer to the area, a home owner or renter, we're here to build a strong community. We run local events, meet regularly with the local council, and work together to be active in our community. We are not political, or council affiliated, we simply want to build community ties and bolster community spirit to improve our quality of life, and our area.
We started as a group mainly based in East Ham South (our old council ward was called 'Greatfield', before it was changed to East Ham South, which is where the name comes from), but have gradually expanded to include a wider area, as we bring more people together.
