On Saturday 10th Oct I visited London and took the opportunity to tour the Brompton Road in Knightsbridge to have a look at the supercar showrooms. These showrooms had a fantastic range of classics and modem supercars on show to the general public.
First port of call was the Ferrari dealer. At Ferrari they had the two great iconic 288 GTO alongside the magnificent F40. These two greats where once the fastest cars in the world. Also inside the dealership was a F355, FF, California T and the brand new 488 GTB. And only a 3 minute walk to the Lamborghini and Maserati showrooms which thankfully where right next to each other.
Inside the Lamborghini showroom where two spaceship looking Aventador roadsters, and two ultra-quick Huracans. In the corner was the LP-570-4 performante. With its bright orange colour - I loved it so much as it will always have more flare than any type of Huracan in any town or city. In the Maserati dealer greeting me at the entrance was a beautiful Granturismo MC Convertible that I thought looked so menacing in its grey colour. Here it looked just like the main supplier for the Ghibli and the Qattroporte for the wealthy to roam the streets of London.
After those two dealers with their beautiful machines for everyone to look at I walked to the classic car showroom and body workers “Hexagon Classics”. Unfortunately, they were closed for the day but looking through the windows they had some lovely priceless and exotic classics right on sale. Everything from an original Mini Cooper S to an Aston Martin DB4 Zagato worth millions. This was a lovely walk around Knightsbridge looking at some brilliant cars In such a small area. It may not be the Sheikh Zayed strip in Dubai but for just a quick look around its brilliant. If you’re in the area of Knightsbridge would recommend that you have a quick look around to see these astonishing cars for yourself.

Salon prive
On Saturday the 5th September I went over to Blenheim Palace to visit the prestigious supercar gathering Salon Prive. This is a fantastic show where the best and rarest of supercars gather to be judged and shown to the public.

As I arrive I hear car engines revving and a row of Paganis greet me at the entrance. Then just around the corner the Ferrari judging competition begins. Everything from the 288 GTO to the £1 million LaFerrari. Inside the grounds of the Palace cars from all over the country turn up for this 3 day extravaganza. The only Reventon in the UK was there also the Bugatti EB 110, VW XL1, BMW M1 and a £8.4 million McLaren F1 GTR. Where before have you seen all these cars in one place? Then there is the exclusive area. It will cost you a bit to get in but it is worth the money. Gentlemen in suits and not a piece of litter or a cigarette butt to be seen. Then there are the retailer areas. Fantastic customised car furniture and a lovely collection of art are all around the venue. But the cars are the main reason for this show - Vulcan, 918, 488, P1 GTR, Zenvo, Aston DBX DB10 and GT3 alongside the Koenigsegg ONE: 1. These could be anyone’s favourites. But for me the car that stood out the most was the £600,000 David Brown Speedback GT - a Jaguar XKR with a new handmade coach built interior and body to represent a Aston Martin DB6. So it’s that or a used Porsche 918. My father was leaning towards the reworked Jensen Interceptor that makes as much noise a nuclear bomb.

It was a fantastic day and beautiful atmosphere and a pleasure to be a part of it. Anyone who loves cars should go to this now well established yearly supercar event.

Auto Vivendi’s New Event Lets You Drive The Hypercar Holy Trinity At 200MPH Most of us, if not all of us, dream of driving the hypercar holy trinity of the Ferrari LaFerrari, McLaren P1 and Porsche 918. But of course not everyone has the means to, and even when the elite few do, it may be hard to obtain one now as they’re all sold out with all [&hellip
