While Arizona's primary vendor taking 988 hotline calls saw a 45 percent increase in call volume when it switched over from the 10-digit National Su***de Prevention Lifeline number, a national survey finds more than 80 percent of Americans don't know the hotline exists.
Justin Chase, Solari's President and CEO says the 45 percent increase shows a need for more awareness about the 988 hotline.
“What it really shows is that mental health is not - We aren't meeting and reaching everyone that we should be,” Chase said.

Neighbors in the Groom Creek area of Yavapai County are grieving after Steven Jackson was attacked and killed by a bear Friday.
“He was just the happiest guy. I mean it was like he had no problems in the world. He just only cared about making people happy and living a great life for himself,” David Montano said. “And he had that full dream unfolding right in front of us.”
While many neighbors tried to help Jackson, ultimately, Montano stopped the bear.

Since 2017, the Gonzales family has given back to the hospital to help kids there.
The first year, they donated 32 toys.
This year, they're hoping to donate 1,000 toys!
