I'm at the UFVA conference this week (well, virtually) and attended a terrific walk-thru of the Final Draft 12 at one of the sessions. A moment of pride when I see the Educational templates built within the software contain so many of my colleague writers' books' wisdom from MICHAEL WIESE PRODUCTIONS (Filmmaking Books)! Feeling blessed today to be published by MWP.
My interview with Pilar for the On The Page podcast went live this weekend. Pilar focussed on the "Shoot" and "Edit" of my book "Write! Shoot! Edit!". Check it out, and have a look at On The Page for so many other fabulous interviews, especially about the writing process.

Returning online after a long break during the pandemic, so feel like I'm re-learning how to post! :)
What I love about this season is how people find ways to share joy no matter the restrictions. I hope you find joy and share much joy yourself this season!

Had a blast at Day! Michelle Barker, Shikataganai By Sumi Kinosh*ta and I read from our books and from books by other great Canadian authors! I was like having Gordon Korman and Kenneth Oppel in the room with us. Thanks to the Coquitlam library for hosting, thanks to all who came and celebrated Canadian books with us!

Had a fabulous time as a guest at BCIT this week talking about my Film Production Management 101 book and the difference between various types of script breakdowns. Such a great group of up-and-coming filmmakers…. plus they get to have their classes – practical and theory – in a film studio. How cool is that?

Looking forward to the DM Youth Expo in North Vancouver on Saturday! I’ll be there signing my book “Write! Shoot! Edit!” as well as conducting mini-seminars at the MWP books booth. I hear there will be another booth granting SPFX cuts & bruises to attendees… very cool!
