Ask any self-employed or small business owner and they will tell you its hard work. Very few people get to say they
love what they do for a living. This opportunity is available to anyone who wants it, but few seldom follow their dreams.
What isn't so obvious is the long hours, long days, business problems, bills, down times, stress,
slow times, its a rollercoaster of high and low emotions you can NEVER turn off. I know first hand, I have done it for more then 25 years and just
when I think I have seen it all something new pops up to let you know that doing business is ever evolving. That's 6 days a week that I am open, but lets face it, its 7
days a week, nights/weekends even some holidays 24/7, 9,125+ days, your mind never rests... I never thought at the age of 19 when I started to
build capital to fund my dream that I would still be doing it at 47 years old! In those years I have made life long friends and was a
part of raising almost 3 generations, and it was all worth the hard work and effort to be a part of your lives!!! Too many to mention. You will forever be a part
of my life in the long list of memories we have made. We all know that it will come to end at some point but we never want to think about it,
sometimes its never even thought about to you start reading something like this and you wonder where my rambling is going.... well if you
haven't figured it out yet this is my public announcement that I am closing the park. It has been a tough decision to say the least. My reasons are personal and I hope that you can respect
my privacy until a later date when I feel more
comfortable discussing it. I will continue to operate the park until the end of December 2022, starting in January 2023 I will continue to sell online at pennskate.com as I try to make,
and plan my next move. I am sorry for the short notice but my reasons forcing me to make this decision came in quickly. In closing I would like to just say again its been a
life long dream come true to serve my community by providing a safe place for kids to express themselves, grow, and enjoy our great sport.
