NEW PLAYLIST //
This week I’ve been working with the idea of stability. A very wise man once told me that being centered is not about never coming off your axis, it's about how quickly you can come back to your axis when you fall off it. Likewise, mindfulness is not about never letting your thoughts wander, it’s about how quickly you can catch yourself mind wandering and bring your thoughts back to the present.

"Be careful not to let busyness crowd out moments of stillness, beauty, and appreciation. It is these moments that make life worth living."
Today I themed my class around leap days and transitions. Remember: sometimes our most create moments happen in those in between spaces. As Frank Lloyd Write put it, "space is the breath of art." Transitions offer us the opportunity to experience the liminal space -- the space in between moments -- and to let the space created allow for creative expression.
Remember: yoga doesn't need to be serious! It's ok to let go and not worry about what a particular pose is supposed to look like. As a teacher and as a student I've learned that one of the most important "skills" in yoga is being able to laugh at yourself when you make mistakes.
Come flow tomorrow, 4:30-5:30pm in the Hill Hall aerobics room.
