The first time I ever tried an Orange Wine was in Slovenia. Don’t be afraid to get out of your comfort zone when it comes to wine varietals! There’s so many wonderful surprises waiting.

This photo has no filter and remains one of the most gorgeous travel photos I have in my repertoire. This is Isola Bella found nearby the quaint hilltop village of Taormina, Sicily.
Taormina is a must on any Sicilian itinerary - you can easily reach it from the Catania airport or by traveling east from Palermo. The small, narrow streets brim with flowers, the main piazza overlooks endless blue sea, and there’s more amazing food and gelato than could ever be discovered in a single visit.
Other villages nearby make for easy day trips, and there’s plenty to lazily explore in Taormina itself while enjoying the Sicilian way of life.
And lest you forget - Sicily is an island! So make sure to map out time for a beach day (or two!). Who’s ready to explore Sicily? If you’ve been before, tell us your favorite discovery there!
This photo is from EIGHT! years ago but it will always hold a special place in my heart. I’m sharing the story behind why it’s so special and meaningful today in my stories. Join me there for a taste of one of my favorite places in the whole world, and somewhere that feels just like going home.
⠀
Any guesses on where this pic was taken? Hint: it’s one of the world’s most beautiful islands.
There’s no better place for our family to social distance than in the north woods of Wisconsin. are my in-laws’ properties just about 2 hours north from Milwaukee but they feel a world away from the city.
⠀
“Up North” is such a common phrase around these parts and yet it’s really unidentifiable on a map. Basically, ‘Up North’ to a Wisconsinite is where we go to find calm - away from the rat race of regular life - and it usually involves a body of water, the peace of nature, and way less people than normal life. ‘Up North’ is much more about the emotion and the mood than the physical location. Which is what makes it such a great place for getting in a staycation, especially during these times when doing less is more.
⠀
Do you have a special place that brings you a sense of calm and peacefulness? Are you finding yourself more interested in getting away in nature and more secluded destinations thanks to covid? Let me know your ideal place to social distance in the comments below. Stay safe, stay healthy!🏕🛶
I don’t think I’ve ever introduced myself before and since today is it seemed like a good time to do it.
Hi! My name is Angela. A relative newbie to the industry, I jumped in headfirst almost 2 years ago after leaving a high-pressure retail career that I had fallen out of love with. I’ve been obsessed with traveling since I was 9 when I went to London for the first time & came back with a fake British accent. I wanted to put that passion to work for others.
These past two years have been a whirlwind of learning&growth - including a tremendous amount of time spent in self-doubt & questioning my sanity for changing careers. If you thought being a travel advisor was all about glamorous jaunts around the world, you’re definitely missing the point.
What I’ve discovered most is that this career takes major fortitude. It takes stamina, perseverance, & incredibly thick skin (I can’t tell you how many times someone has walked in our office door & essentially questioned our entire existence as a profession).
But more than anything, being successful in this career takes heart. The giving kind. The caring kind. The listening & the genuine kind. The I’m-going-to-fight-for-every-dollar-for-my-client kind in the face of a global crisis that will have long lasting repercussions no one could have ever imagined.
Despite the challenges of working in an incredibly complex industry, I LOVE what I’m doing now more than ever. And it’s not because of the amazing places I get to go, but because I’ve found such a thrill in getting to know my clients intimately & preparing for them the types of life-changing trips that open their minds&their hearts to all of the incredible experiences this world has to offer. I pour my heart into each client trip as if it were my own. I’m honored with the trust that clients place in me - not only to fulfill their travel dreams, but also to become their friend, their confidant, their therapist, even, & now, more than ever, their advisor.
So thank you to all of my clients for supporting me in my new(ish) journey & to all of the advisors out there who inspire me every day with their creativity, strength, and positivity.
This is once in a lifetime for anyone who happens to be lucky enough to be in Rome right now!!
For this week only: unrepeatable chance to see Raphael’s tapestries with Michelangelo’s ceiling The Vatican Museums celebrate Raphael’s 500th anniversary by hanging his tapestries in the Sistine Chapel for which they were created
Sweet surprises from clients are always the day’s highlight - especially on ! I’m always preaching about how important it is to take every vacation day offered to you (just ask my family!) - whether it’s for a grand adventure or something more low key - it’s critical for your mental AND physical health to disconnect from your everyday and place yourself in new surroundings every once in awhile. No vacation day should ever be wasted and I’m ALWAYS honored and humbled when clients put their trust in me to take those precious days and design something special for them.

The little town of Gengenbach really took me by surprise! What a hidden gem! is the only cruise line to takes guests here and I’m so glad I went! The markets were fantastic - full of delicious food, wine, beer, and handicrafts - as well as the World’s Largest Advent Calendar. Each night they perform a small, German performance with village children and then reveal a new window for advent as the grand finale. A very local experience!

Every corner of Strasbourg was more picturesque than the last. So much to discover in the city from important buildings of the European Union to amazing restaurants, quaint shops, half-timbered buildings, the incredible gothic cathedral with detail that has to be seen to be believed and so much more! Strasbourg is home to the oldest Christmas Markets and the city teems with festive spirit at Christmas. But I’m also told the summer time has its own charm and I can’t wait to come back and visit then.
Are you ready to cruise the Rhine and discover cities and towns like Strasbourg? You won’t find a better line than ... give me a shout to get the planning started for 2020 or 2021, these cruises sell-out FAST!

Charming European Village Alert!
Riquewihr, France in Alsace is so impossibly adorable I wanted to get lost in the streets all day long. Vin Chaud on every corner, Alsacien specialities, charming markets to sample local delicacies, and a literal story-book atmosphere (this town was the inspiration for Beauty & the Beast - can you tell?!
It’s also right around the corner from Colmar, another perfect little village. One major thing I’m discovering on this River Cruise is that I can’t wait to come back to Alsace by car and explore more..
@ Riquewihr
Something extra special about River Cruises is that every guest is able to eat at the wonderful Chef’s Table restaurant that takes you through a 5 course meal with wine pairings, it a beautiful room with floor to ceiling windows and an open kitchen where you can watch the chef work.
All guests receive an invite here for one evening during their cruise and it makes for an extra special meal. You can reserve as many times as you’d like, depending on the restaurant availability. Isn’t it gorgeous in all of its holiday decor?
The needs no filter and very few words. This gorgeous 5* property sits riverfront on the Rhine in the beautiful town of Basel. It has a two river view restaurants - one with 3 Michelin stars - an amazing bar and balcony in the summer, and during the holiday season it’s decked out in so much festive cheer. Next time you’re considering a cruise down the Rhine - or a Swiss vacation - don’t miss out on Basel, or this amazing property where I can hook you up with extra special perks. 🙌

Any other Christmas lovers out there? I’m obsessed with all the Christmas and cozy winter things once the season finally arrives. I mean, I live in Wisconsin so there’s not much choice but to embrace the cold and ❄️🤷🏻♀️.
This is my in-laws log cabin in a tiny town about 2.5 hours north of Milwaukee. It actually does look like the winter wonderland setting of my favorite type of Christmas movie and it checks all the boxes for a cozy, winter getaway. Hot tub? Yes. REAL log fireplace? Yes. Beautiful wrap around balcony looking out onto a snowy forest? Yes. Small lake perfect for ice skating? Yes. Small hills perfect for sledding? Yes. Small town nearby with small town charms and businesses? Check. Not to mention, world-class craft brewery is a 10 minute drive away.
Besides all the amenities - including the natural ones - an escape to the cabin has your whole body doing that thing where all of your sudden your shoulders feel 10 pounds lighter as the stresses of the every day just disappear. It’s a place to truly disconnect and relax - a total haven if you need some wellness and self-care. And our kids absolutely love it - all week Ariella was talking about getting to go to the cabin.
The best part? There’s actually a second cabin right next door and BOTH are available for rent year-round and make for an amazing family getaway in winter or summer. More info at !

I love reading about Holiday traditions across the world! Do you practice any traditions that are inspired by other cultures?!

I had a client call today who wants to take a father/daughter trip to Italy with his 13 year old. They both love history, and his daughter’s dream is an Italian Adventure. His goal is to take each of his kids on special trips each year, but separately. I love this idea - what a special bonding experience for the child, and for him, to have that precious one-on-one time making memories in places around the world neither of them will ever forget.👨👧
I’ve always been all about taking the whole fam with me everywhere I can but as life changes the idea of one-on-one time with each child becomes more and more appealing. I love traveling with my kids and the memories that we make because of it. It amazes me the things Ariella remembers from our past trips - such random stuff like the statue she was scared of in Slovenia, or the broken pool in California.😂😂
It’s a good reminder as we head into the holidays that 💵 is always better spent on experiences over more stuff. Do you have special travel traditions with your family?! I’d love to hear ‘em below! ⬇️
You might see a familiar face or 4 in this Flytographer blog post! Slovenia, Europe's most charming country. If you're thinking of visiting Slovenia and want to capture the beauty through professional photos, I can get you a discount with the amazing Mankica and Flytographer!

Top 10 Places to Visit in Slovenia | Flytographer As the European Shoot Concierge this summer, I have been working remotely from Europe and exploring some spectacular places. One of my destinations was Slovenia. I had no expectations for this little country that seemed ‘on the way’ to the huge European destinations I was eager to get to, but it...
My brain is practically exploding with all the knowledge and ideas I have for clients from yesterday! It’s always so great to meet destination partners face to face and hear firsthand information from them on what’s new and what clients love about their countries. We covered: Australia, Queensland, New Zealand, Tahiti, Hong Kong, Thailand, Taiwan, Korea, Kenya, South Africa, and Zimbabwe.
Are any of these places on your travel hit list?! Let me know in the comments!
This is great list! I've read quite a few but can't wait to check out the rest!
15 Amazing Books That Inspire Us to Travel You don't have to read books about travel for a story to inspire you to travel. We highly recommend the following 15 titles to jumpstart your next adventure.
I've been working on SO many Italy itineraries lately and it actually lights me on FIRE! Italy is the most amazing country, and there's so many incredible and unique experiences waiting for all of them!
But there's definitely a way to see Italy, and a way NOT to. This article does a really great job of giving some quick education on how to organize a well-paced trip!
Avoiding the Most Common Travel Mistake on Your Trip to Italy Almost all travelers make the same fundamental mistake while planning their trip to Italy. Here's how you can avoid it for a better vacation!
I’ve been Harry Potter obsessed since the 5th grade and yet this was my first visit to one of the Wizarding Worlds! We took a day while in LA to explore the land at and despite it being ultra-hot, it did not disappoint. However, it’s a lot smaller than Orlando so here are some tips if you’re thinking of visiting:
- Bring a baby carrier if you have a little one. We brought two strollers but because the park is smaller it was pretty tight maneuvering through some of the shops.
- Definitely get the Butterbeer! The frozen one is the best.
- Save room for a treat at Honeydukes!
- Ollivanders is for sure worth the wait and the $$! The magical wands are not cheap (currently $52!) but they are a special souvenir. However, they are fragile so take care if in the hands of small ones.
- Universal also has a “Rider Swap” program for parents traveling with kids too small to ride the attractions. Def take advantage but keep in mind strollers aren’t allowed inside - another plus for the baby carrier!
- Most of the top attractions are designed for kids 39” and above. There’s plenty to see and take in for the littles, but it’s not as toddler friendly as Disney.
- Bring a swimsuit and change of clothes! Super Silly Fun Land is inspired by the minions in Despicable Me and is perfect for toddlers. There’s also an incredible water park/splash pad that you’ll definitely want swimsuits and water shoes for. Plus, there’s an additional splash pad in a different section of the park. Perfect for a hot day.
- Lastly, remember the Hogwarts Express here doesn’t actually move - it’s only good for a photo op like this one!

This week we’ve been exploring Orange County while staying in Newport Beach. The sun has shined bright (and HOT) every day, and we are finding more things to do than hours in the day!
I love finding destinations stateside that make for great long weekend or relaxing week getaways for couples or families alike, and this part of California definitely fits the bill. And while there’s tons to see, do, and eat don’t forget to save time for the gorgeous beaches and cool down in the pool.🏖🌊☀️

When we first told people we were headed to Slovenia this summer, everyone’s reaction was either “where?” or “why?”. I honestly can’t remember the exact “why” we decided on Slovenia - could have been the episode of on the amazing or just the insane natural beauty that inspired us to go.
Either way, I definitely wanted this iconic shot of Lake Bled. I imagined the sun shining and reflecting off the brilliant turquoise water, and the towering peaks of the Alps surrounding us. Needless to say, it rained every.single.day in Bled and we could just barely see the outline of the mountains during our stay.
We draw travel inspiration from so many sources and sometimes it’s a major let down when we can’t experience a place the way we originally had in mind. But that’s the thing with travel - you never know what twists and turns are going to be thrown at you while you are on the road. Flexibility and adaptability is the name of the game. In this instance, we turned lemons into lemonade by walking the lake and taste testing all the hot cocoas and kremsnita we could get our hands on🙌.
Some bumps in the road are out of our control (ie: the weather), while others can be addressed and resolved with little or no disruption to your trip when you work with a travel professional. I’m here to bring you peace of mind so you can sit back and enjoy, while I get to work on your behalf.
Where do you draw your travel inspiration from? Have you ever had to divert your plans while on the road? Tell me below! ⬇️

I know you’re not supposed to have favorite children, but I have to admit that honeymoons are one of my favorite type of trips to plan. There’s so many possibilities in a honeymoon! What better way to kick off the beginning of the rest of your life than by going on an epic adventure?! Clients are full of love, excitement, and ideas and I get to help create the vision and ex*****on that becomes a dream vacation. I love the small part I get to play in helping couples create lifelong memories as they begin their married lives together.👰🏻🤵

Italy is the world's best wine country CHAMPAGNE, BORDEAUX, CHIANTI – Wine lovers have plenty of choice for finding their preferred tipple, and plenty of places to visit if they’re keen on following the grapes to their source. But where are the best places for aficionados to travel if they want to feel surrounded by wine culture? New...
Summer keeps moving along and I’m totally caught up in the rat race. I’m so lucky to live and breathe travel every day but I find that I’m so focused on new and next that I’m forgetting to reflect on the incredible travel experiences I’ve already had this year.
My favorite way to reflect on past trips is by reliving them through photos, so once a year we invest in the very best souvenir you can buy - family photos in a new destination around the world. We always use and come away with amazing images of our family we could never have captured on our own or by asking a random stranger {we all know how that can turn out... 🤦🏻♀️}.
These are some of my favorites from our time with Mankica in Ljubljana for Flytographer. She was the sweetest and I am all about the light and moments she was able to capture! Bonus: she was SO kind and patient with my hangry babes.
Who’s up for beautiful photos in beautiful new places?!

Happy Independence Day, Peru! // Felices Fiestas Patrias, Perú!! Thanks for an awesome time in your wonderful, colorful country! 🇵🇪🦙🌈🎉
Kevin laughs at me because every time I come back from a trip I always say things like “can you believe it’s already been a week since ______ (insert relevant travel activity)?” Apparently, he CAN always believe it. I, on the other hand, am always flabbergasted how time seems to pass in the blink of an eyes- first the anticipation of the trip, then the trip itself, and then the returning home comes and goes and before you know it you’re looking back on travel memories 10 years past.
It’s why I’m such a firm believer in capturing moments and feelings through images, travel or otherwise. I’ve spent all week looking back on pics of Peru and today I’m thinking “damn, has it really been a week since ?!”
Anyone else experience serious travel nostalgia?! I guess the cure is looking forward to the next trip. We’ve got Hawaii on the books, and are working on Malta and Sicily to visit family next year. Where’s your next big adventure?!
Sharing is better than receiving ❤️❤️❤️❤️
I spent so many years of my life wasting $$$ on unnecessary material things. I still feel the pull many times, but now try to measure all my purchases in terms of “how many hotel nights could I get for this?” Or “I could fly to Europe for that!” and re-assess.
Before Peru, it had been quite awhile since I had done any sort of group travel. It was such a great reminder of what this video is emphasizing - meeting new people and sharing with others the adventure and happiness of experiences is so much more rewarding than a new material purchase. So grateful for the new friends who are sure to become old ones! ❤️❤️❤️
All the colors of Perú. This place is a textile heaven!
