Meditation - Sound Beyond Words

​

Having devoted a large proportion of his life to creating music of commercial value and appeal, Aarons natural journeying has turned his attention in the last decade to sound healing and meditation, though for Aaron his skill set is valued in a more unique way.

Aaron has produced and recorded guided meditations with renowned Yoga instructor Lily Silverton, proving hugely successful on meditation apps such as Insight Timer - one proven successful interplay between Aarons experience in recording and sound meditation therapy. Aaron has also written, recorded and performed alongside internationally recognised multi instrumentalist Tim Wheater. Taking very seriously the need to “disarm stress”, having suffered PTSD himself Aaron goes on to say;

“ I felt a desire to explore music beyond the traditional song form, away from lyrics, absorbing sound. It seems to be a natural progression for me, to alleviate the stress of songwriting, to find a direct line into the sounds and frequencies that are a part of us all without the need for words..“

Aaron has a diploma as a fully trained and recognised sound healer, and has curated event programmes for immersive sonic experiences, and sound baths at multiple established UK venues.

His Performances, residencies, corporations and talks with brands, institutions include; National Portrait Gallery, Soho House in London UK, The Shard, Nike, Rob da Banks “Sleep Retreat”, Earth Hackney amongst others.

As a practitioner Aaron offers guided sound healing sessions in conjunction with Yoga, Meditation, Mindfulness.

Current Music Projects - Roots of Sound

With a clear footprint set between the orbiting worlds of contemporary music and holistic sound journeying - Aaron has focused on cultivating projects in the last 5 years that aims to encompass both.

Crate Classics a foray into bass and roots culture, a duo between Horn and Jamie Rodigan, heralding reworks of Trojan Records stalwart Desmond Dekker’s classic Israelites, collaborations with dancehall champions, Don Andre, Big Zeeks amongst others - garnering support across the Atlantic and internationally. Crate Classics subcultural works are consistent and are aiming high - Jamie Rodigan himself a son of true irie journeyman and DJ David Rodigan, say no more.

Opal Blue a mystic act laid bare with ongoing Spotify / Apple support reaching 500 K streams combined thus far for there single Nile - Opal Blue aims to stand at the axis of divergence between Aarons commercial writing ability, balearic world sensibility, simplicity and his own personal musical history, heralding the greats of Ninja Tune, Massive Attack and Caribou - tipping a cap to the many studio doors left adrift on eve’s of Sarm in the early 90’s. With a full album in the works and a modus to bring the force of audio healing back into popular music, Opal Blue are on track to explore the dimensions of future psychedelia, through the passages of bass culture and mindfulness.

CBD - A Cultural Business

Cannabis and its wellness properties, have been in more recent times a popular focus internationally, a holistic treatment for many suffering stress relative issues or ongoing physical pain. Though under scrutiny often with its unregulated supply chain and added pressure of regulations constantly changing, It had to be the right place, at the right time in finding its home within the UK’s emerging market. In 2018 Aaron set up the UK's first shop LDN CBD that provides products using properties from cannabinoids in London, directly on the high street, and shipping worldwide. Aaron has authored and designed a series of specialist blends of oils, beauty and wellness products for the marketplace. Finding a parallel in the kitchen cooking up beats as he did curating the company's products by inventing a new rule book.
