Band Spotlight: Splash

Formed in '92 in Ann Arbor, Tension Splash hit the scene with their self-titled indie album in '93. Produced by Tim Patalan at The Loft, they captured national attention with their unique blend of heavy, alternative rock. RIP magazine raved about them: "Creative, heavy, alternative stuff with appealingly gravelly vocals... Visceral, honest, edgy. You will like!"

Their 1994 EP "Soak" further cemented their status in the rock scene. After a 25-year hiatus, they returned in 2019 to remix and remaster their early work, rekindling their fiery passion for music.

In 2023, Tension Splash made a triumphant comeback with new music, including "Firefly," a moving tribute to their late bassist Mike Bertsch, and "Willing," featuring blistering harmonies from Taproot's Stephen Richards. These tracks are a perfect blend of their signature 90s big-guitar sound and modern rock elements, with Gray's iconic vocals, Nick Field's scorching lead guitar, Sean Field's powerful drums, and Mike's thunderous bass lines.

Celebrate the enduring legacy and electrifying return of Tension Splash, a band that continues to redefine the rock genre.
