I've always been super self-conscious about my acne and I have been wearing some form of concealer or foundation since I was around 13. That's when my acne really started flaring up and it continued to get worse with age. In college it got so bad that I cried every time I looked in the mirror without makeup. I always envied my friends who had flawless skin without ever trying or even taking care of their skin. I caked so much makeup on all the time that people didn't even know what my real skin looked like. I would even put makeup up on in the morning before my significant other woke up so that he wouldn't see how red and inflamed my skin was. I was constantly trying the latest, greatest, chemical laden product available. I even went on antibiotics for a year for it but they didn't do anything, except confuse the hell out of my poor immune system. I tried changing my diet, cleansing, but literally nothing worked. Until I accidentally discovered a powerful combination of a few simple ingredients by accident one day. That's when my skin rapidly starting healing and I started getting less and less bumps. I've stopped getting acne altogether, except right around my moon cycle, and even then it's minimal. Nothing in comparison to the angry, red spots I woke up to every morning for years. Because of this magical elixir, even my acne scars have almost all faded and my skin looks incredible. I still can't believe it sometimes. I'll even rub my face absentmindedly and I'm shocked all over again when I feel how smooth and soft it is. The picture on the left was taken September 2016 and the one on the right was taken just a few days ago. You can see the huge improvement very easily. No filters, no makeup. Just me.
