**SOLD**

I’m sadly selling my lovely immaculate portable tack locker. Carries 3 saddles & 4 bridles, with plenty of storage space too. It’s on wheels so it’s easy to manoeuvre on/off lorry ramp and around showgrounds… what ever the terrain! 🙈 Waterproof cover also available.

The RRP on something similar is over £1200 so this is a bargain at £675 ONO. Buyer to collect from Hampshire.

Please PM me for more info 😊

Throwback to my Hughes Dressage days, riding the lovely Frankie 🤩

Photos from Georgia Davis Dressage's post 21/04/2022

And just like that, my first homebred is now 3 yrs old! 🤩🤩 in a months time Fendi (Franklin x Quarterback x Weltmeyer) will be heading off to “big school” to be backed, before being sold. I wish I could keep them all, but I simply wont have enough time for him🥺

Someone is going to be incredibly lucky to own this sweet and super moving boy, and I can’t wait to see him under saddle soon! 😍😍

Well…. Apologies for the radio silence on this page over the past few months! There’s good reasoning for my absence, so let’s get to it!

Firstly, at the end of last year I made the really tough decision to step back from riding and teaching full time. I know to many this will come as a huge shock, but this decision was really necessary for numerous reasons.

Of course, having worked with horses full time since the day I left school in 2012, I couldn’t imagined myself not having a career within the equestrian industry and in February this year I started my new job at Liphook Equine Hospital as a yard nurse 🦄 I’ve always had a keen interest in the veterinary sides of things and I’m throughly enjoying, and learning so much whilst pursuing a career in equine veterinary nursing at such a prestigious and world class hospital.

I’ve had an unforgettable 10 years as a rider and trainer, and although teaching and riding isn’t my full time job anymore, I do still teach one day per week.

Now, onto the big ginger (aka Doogie!) who is in this video 🧡

I think it’s safe to say that the last 18 months with this boy have been an emotional rollercoaster… From advanced medium national champion and riding our first PSG’s & Int 1 together, to being told that I might never be able to ride him again and he should retire 💔

All I can say is that miracles definitely do happen and I’m incredibly thankful and grateful to my home team for getting Doogie from where he was, to where he is now. We still have a long way to go before I can dare to dream about getting him back in the white boards, but whatever happens from here I know that he is finally comfortable and happy again 🧡🧡🧡

Really proud of Julie Cunnah’s Daya in the Elementary Gold Regionals today at Wellington, to score a very respectable 67% for 12th place 🥳🥳

This was only Daya’s 5th Elementary test and just 1% separated 12th - 6th! I feel like Daya really tried her heart out for me today and I couldn’t have asked for more, so now we are looking forwards to some more time training at home to help get her more established at this level 💪🏻

In some other news, I have an announcement to make over the next few weeks… so watch this space!

Happy New Year to you all! Apologies for the slightly delayed New Year’s post, but spending a few days reflecting on 2021 felt necessary.

Firstly, I’m dedicating this post to Chloe Walton’s Freddie, who very sadly took a trip over rainbow bridge in October after a freak accident in the field. As well as being one of the most talented horse i’ve ridden, Freddie’s character never failed to put a smile on my face and I already miss him dearly. Rest in peace Fred ❤️

So…. In a nutshell, 2021 was tough and the most challenging year I’ve had in my career so far.

Despite the country being in lockdown, 2021 started on a good note and come the spring I was starting to achieve my individual goals with each horse.

Then early summer came along and I guess that’s where the rollercoaster of events started and continued throughout the rest of the year. I won’t bore you with details, but with each week that passed and the events that continued to unfold I found myself falling out of love with my job more and more. I’m a very optimistic and positive person but each time I picked myself back up off the ground, I just got knocked straight back down again.

Dealing with the continual roller coaster of events from 2021 has been extremely tough both mentally and emotionally, but, on reflection I have realised just how much I have grown as a person.

Realising this growth is what has very recently given me the boost I’ve needed to find my mojo again, and turn 2022 into a more positive year. Instead of setting yearly goals this year, I’m going to focus on setting weekly goals which are small but achievable.

Here’s to 2022 🦄🎉

As of January 2022, I am excited to announce that I will be able to take on a handful of new clients for lessons! This is the first time I have been able to take on new clients in over 2 years!

I provide freelance lessons around the Hampshire/Surrey border, but I am also happy to travel further afield if there is a group of people wanting lessons at the same yard.

I have a wealth of experience producing, training and competing horses from young horses all the way through to small tour level (Prix St Georges & Inter 1) with plenty of success at local, regional, national and international shows along the way 🥇

I teach horse and rider combinations of all ages and abilities so whether you’re just starting out at grass roots level, steadily making your way through the levels, or you’re aiming for your first advanced test… I can offer my expertise, guidance and support.

I pride myself on ensuring that you and your horse finish your lesson smiling and feeling confident, with a full understanding of the “how’s and why’s” to help maximise improvement both within and between lessons 💪🏻

For more info on lesson prices, availability and general questions please either PM me through this page, or email me at [email protected]

After braving the cold, wind and sleet at Wellington today, Julie Cunnah’s Daya completed her Elementary regional qualification in style with 72.3% and a win 🥇

It felt so great to finally break that 70% barrier in only her fourth Elementary test! 🥰

Another day, another show, another elementary and another 69% for Julie Cunnah’s Daya to take the win at Parwood today! 🥇

So for Daya recently that’s 3 x elementary’s, 3 x 69% and 3 x wins… you can’t get more consistent than that! 🥰

31/10/2021

Another solid elementary test at Merrist Wood yesterday for Julie Cunnah’s Daya to score 69.8% and take 1st place 🥇

So close to the magic 70… again! 🙈 good girl Daya!

Great to be back on board Julie Cunnah’s Flute after 8 months off after a keratoma was found in her foot and required emergency surgery back in March 😢

Looking forwards to slowly getting her back into work with the aim to get her out and about to her first ever competition next year 💪🏻

I have personally seen how hard Alice has worked training over these past months in her lead up to the London marathon which takes place this weekend!

There’s still time to donate and any donations made (over £10) means you will be entered into a prize draw for a chance to win some fabulous prizes (as mentioned in the post.)

Let’s help Alice reach her goal of raising £10,000 for The Brook charity! 🤞🏻🤞🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻

I'm so excited that I can now tell you about a very special fundraiser that Equestrian Management Agency have put together to help in raising more funds for Brooke, Action For Working Horses and Donkeys which I am doing through running the London Marathon

How this will work..

Those who make donations (minimum £10) from September 22nd 2021 until the day of the London Marathon (Sunday 3 October 2021) will be entered into a draw to win one of the prizes on this link

https://www.equestrianma.com/alice-oppenheimer-brooke-fundraiser

All donations must be made via the official JustGiving Link as these funds are sent direct to the charity in a fast and secure way. Its efficient, saves time and cuts costs for the charity.

https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/alice-oppenheimer

The Prizes (SO EXCITED - OMG)

The prizes are numbered, so once you have donated, please comment under this Facebook post or on the Facebook post of Equestrian Management Agency about this fundraiser and state:

“Donated" then add the prize numbers you would ideally love to win. Winners will be drawn at random.

Should you win a prize that you do not wish to receive, you can gift this to another recipient and provide their name to EMA. They will then arrange for the prizes to be sent out after the Marathon.

More prizes will be added this week!!! Let's keep this going!!!

So great to have Julie Cunnah’s Daya back in the white boards at Sparsholt after a 1 1/2 year hiatus! 🤩🤩 (thanks Covid 😬)

She had a go at her first Elementary test and despite a few green moments she scored a fab 69.6% for the win🥇 so close to the magic 70!

Good girl Daya 🥰

The next generation ✨

It’s just a year until 2yr old Fendi (Franklin - Quarterback- Weltmeyer) will start his career under saddle! 🙈

Looking forwards to doing some ground work with him this winter 🤩

It was certainly a warm one at Sparsholt regionals yesterday aboard Di Watts’ April! 🥵

As always, April gave me 110% in the test despite the 30 degree heat to finish on a respectable 65.3% in the Medium Gold Class. 🙌🏻

Regionals was in fact my last show on board this special pony as April’s owner, Di will now be taking over the reins. At 15, April will be the perfect school mistress for Di to learn the ropes on and also have heaps of fun on inside the white boards and at home. 🤩

Over the past 2 years April has qualified for and competed at 3 Medium Gold Regionals which I believe is such an achievement 💖

I’d like to thank Di for entrusting me with training and competing April over the past 2 years, and I very much look forwards to supporting Di and April from a trainer role. 🥰

Felix (owned by Louisa Prebble-Hill) cantering his way to 72.2% and 11th place in the Novice Gold Freestyle class at the Nationals this week 🤩

27/06/2021

We are safely settled in at Hartpury for the rescheduled winter championships. Rebecca Hulme’s Toto (Wurlitzer), princess 👑 Bella (Headmore Bella Ruby) and Amanda Radford’s Dillon (Headmore Dionysus) are all ready to compete tomorrow. Louisa Prebble Hill’s Felix (Knightingale) also crept into the photo ready to compete with Georgia Davis Dressage tomorrow. Good luck to everyone competing.

The best feeling in the world ✨

Slowly but surely Doogie is making his way back to full work after needing a prolonged period of time off through the autumn & winter.

Thanks to my whole home team for getting him back on the road again… 🙌🏻🥰

Summer regional qualification complete today for Di Watts’ April, who scored 68%+ in the Medium 76 class at Quob for 2nd place! 🙌🏻🥈

The video clip was from her regional test a few weeks back at Merrist Wood 🤩

We found out today that Felix’s regional score of 76.7% from the beginning of the week was the 2nd highest score in the whole country across all the regionals! 🤩

His regional test was only his 7th ever BD test! What a clever boy! 🥰
