This is the song that kicked everything off for us. Originally recorded at Feral Studios in Queanbeyan and released on our Juggernaut 101 Album Redheaded Stepchild, Won't You Help Me was getting radio airplay, and from that airplay, Robie Porter tracked us down and the next few years were a whirlwind! Our 1st single release under the Night Train name was a reworking of the 1972 Daddy Cool classic Hi Honey Ho. Night Train - Black Sally Lane
The song we are honoring Sat May 6th at The Basement Canberra. Released 20 years ago, we never got around to recording a clip for this song as our Manager spent the last 3 months of 2003 in the US and had plans to do it upon his return to Australia, sadly that never eventuated. The song was inspired by the road between Bungendore and Braidwood and caused the spelling of said Rd to be changed to "Sallee" as people kept stealing the road sign due to the popularity of the song, we even got a letter from the Council asking us to pay for the stolen signs 🤣 we never did pay that bill! The original lineup will return to the stage to play this and many more songs from our 23-year career.
