I've picked one of my favorite quilts to be this week's Quilt of the Week!
It's the Fancy Winter quilt. I recently finished it in a mix of EQP colors (first image) and I just couldn't resist recoloring it in our Of Old And New fabrics. Doesn't it look magnificent? This quilt is so simple, but it has such a warm and cozy feel to it!
Let me know which version is your favorite!

Here's already a little sneak peek, because "Beyond Time" is coming to shops in June.
No Sunday preparations today, because I managed to cut so many squares last week already, that I still have plenty of blocks to work on this week. So no cutting today, but sewing some lovely nine patches for my Slice Of Summer quilt!
Have a lovely Sunday!

Once sewn into nine patches, yesterday's little squares are going to surround this lovely appliqué center. I can't wait to see the result and oh my, already this is one of my favorite quilts! ❤
Sunday preparations: about 1200 squares are being cut today. They will be sewn into gorgeous little nine patches later on.
Time flies! Scrappy Saturday is here again :)
This week, I'm showing you some of the cute little blocks I've been making lately. All sewn by hand and made from my favorite EQP scraps. I've been wanting to make a true nine patch quilt for many years already, and now the right moment and occasion are finally here.
Follow me for more nine patch updates later!
Drumrolls please… because we have a BIG announcement to make!

This project gives you not only the opportunity to practice making the Tulip block and see how this works for you, but you will also have a lovely result!

What's on my sewing table?
Lots of colorful fabrics and threads, to create some more of these lovely Tulip blocks!
There are 6 blocks done, 10 more to go and loooooooooots of tiny nine patches. These blocks combine straight piecing with curved seams and a touch of appliqué for the leaves. It's so nice to be able to combine and practice all these techniques.
And although the pattern for each block is the same, all blocks are different because of the use of fabrics and colors.
Have you already started your Tulips quilt?
Pattern: Tulips - available on our website
Fabrics: Of Old And New - available at your local quilt shop

Sunday Preparations: I'm working on a beautiful new quilt, with a large appliqué centre. That means lots of motifs to cut and prepare. I love starching my fabric until it's almost paper-like. This really helps me to create the perfect shapes while needle turn appliquéing the motifs onto the background fabric.
Do you starch your fabrics when you do appliqué?
