BRUICOLLAGE #1
On Friday, May 19, 2023, KulturA in Liege will host the first evening dedicated to the Lyon-based label Concrete Collage Records, founded by Stazma and Ohmwerk.
The line-up will feature artists from the label as well as close friends who share a similar taste for concrete textures, shattered rhythms, neuro and acidic basslines.
From the Hyperglitch aesthetic to the breakneck BPMs of Breakcore, Bruicollage will take you on a strange journey to the outskirts of sound and noise.
For the most immersive experience, Eoghan Roche (aka sunnk) will provide a visually reactive audio performance throughout the evening.

Op vrijdag 19 mei 2023 zal KulturA in Luik de eerste avond organiseren die gewijd is aan het in Lyon gevestigde label Concrete Collage Records, opgericht door Stazma en Ohmwerk.
De line-up zal bestaan uit artiesten van het label en nauwe vrienden die een vergelijkbare voorkeur hebben voor betonnen texturen, gebroken ritmes, neuro en zure basslines.
Van de Hyperglitch-esthetiek tot de razendsnelle BPM's van Breakcore, neemt Bruicollage je mee op een vreemde reis naar de rand van geluid en lawaai.

Welcoming Colin Muir to Concrete Collage with this very nice collection of intricate electronic songs.
Yes I say songs, as these compositions do feel like short stories, the vocals being replaced by synthesizer lines. Interminstrel is a very melodic sounding album, almost pop at some point, yet it never falls into easy-listening territory. There are surprises at many corners, whether it is an unexpected turn in the middle of a song, or a weird off-mix percussion that comes out of nowhere.
Playful and melancholic at the same time, Interminstrel is set to take you on a nice trip to distant electronic lands.

Stazma is back with another fresh slab of breakcore madness. He has split his moniker in two. This is his first release just as The Junglechrist. Here is what he had to say on the subject…
“The idea of splitting up my moniker into two distinct entities came without real thinking, I started signing records and tracks as just Stazma for quite a while already.
But what happened to the Junglechrist in all this ?
He wasn’t gone that far. He was, as expected, making simpler tunes while his other personnality was not using the studio, taking some bits and pieces out of jams recorded without plans, turning those into junglistic mayhem.
And here we are with the Madness EP, a collection of three of those remixed jams, even more remixed by two good friends from the Pokora crew, Ronin and Amousement.”

The Madness EP is stripped down to his core jungle roots, compared to his Stazma release over the last few years. The result is a hard hitting dancefloor junglist classic.
In addition to the digital release via Pokora Sound System and his own imprint Concrete Collage, there is also a Bandcamp vinyl pressing campaign underway. Not only can you contribute towards the record getting pressed, but there are also options that include private tuition and performances by the man himself. Check out the campaign here…
