During sleep, your brain uses energy and primarily gets this energy from the glycogen stored in your liver. When you don’t have enough liver glycogen to provide energy for the brain, your adrenal glands pump out more of the stress hormones, adrenaline and cortisol. If you have high amounts of these stress hormones, they can cause you to have difficulty sleeping. Honey provides just the right amount of sugar to keep glycogen levels regulated throughout the night.

Maintain a healthy body and mind with these fitness tips:

- 5 x 30 – Aim to exercise (Jog, walk, bike, dance, etc.) for 30 minutes at least 5 days week. Once you have a schedule down try increasing to 7 days a week.

- Set goals – Aim for consistency rather than “perfect” workouts. It's better to walk every day for 30 minutes than to wait a few days and cram in longer sessions. Consistency and Frequency is key.

- Distract yourself – Many people find it easier and more enjoyable to complete workouts when they listen to music, podcasts or audio books that keep them motivated and entertained.

- Recruit – Having an “exercise buddy” makes it easier to stick to your exercise routine when you have to stay committed to a friend, partner, or colleague.

- Be Patient - When you start a new exercise program, most sedentary people require about four to eight weeks to feel coordinated and sufficiently in shape so that exercise feels easier.
