Glass Art by Kristin M. Quackenbush
I've always loved glass because of the way the light goes through it and how the colors are so bright and true. I've been glass fusing for about 15 years.
Check out my photos albums titled "Before and After" as they show what the pieces look like before they are fired and then after they are fired while still sitting in the kiln. Some of the changes are dramatic! I never know exactly what I am going to pull out of the kiln even though I try to plan it out as best I can. Serendipity sometimes happens!
Next Art Fair: Agora Art Fair on August 17th!
I will be there in booth #7! Looks like it will be a gorgeous day to come out and peruse all the gorgeous art! Hope to see you there!

Very honored to be a part of this show with this group of artists in UW Hospital. I have heard that only the patients/visitors/employees of UW Hospital can see this show so these photos will have to suffice for the rest of us. I hope that our art brightens their days, even just a little bit!

And so it begins again! This year's start was with large leaves for copper wire trees. I am curious as to how many I made. Anyone want to count them? I did not want to know until after I had them done! I am excited to move onto more projects as I have lots of ideas in my head that need to come out!!! And just need more TIME!!! Or a benefactor. If you know anyone, please let me know! I could ask the Medici family? Kidding!!!
So honored to be with this group of glass artists at the Agora Art Fair on August 20th!

Today's photos courtesy of Chad and Kim who visited my booth this morning and helped me problem solve my credit card app malfunction. Thank goodness for clever and talented friends!!! It was a very rough start to the day so tomorrow has to be better! Despite this, the weather was perfect and the colors in my glass sparkled in his camera lens! Come out to see me tomorrow from 10 to 5!
Come down to the Off the Square show to check out all the amazing art! 9-6 on Saturday and 10-5 on Sunday. The weather is going to be almost as amazingly gorgeous as all the art will be! Find me in booth 73 on the corner of Wilson and MLK!
