If you’ve been fishing in the spring or early summer in south Louisiana you’ve probably come across Black-Bellied whistling ducks.
Did you know that these ducks have the highest percentage of behavior related to “dump nesting’’ or interspecific brood parasitism? There are some concerns of this behavior having a negative impact on wood duck nesting due to their nesting styles and availability.
