Wow what a weekend away
Last weekend we travelled to Brisbane for the north Brisbane cup

I went into the meeting not expecting much but set myself a goal to finish top 15 as there was 4 grids of 450s with some amazing riders.

I started off the meeting finishing in 6th still trying to figure out the track but was happy with that result

Race 2 I pulled a holeshot and finished in 2nd
At this point I thought I may have a chance in the final.

Race 3 I placed third putting me through to the final by just 1 point!

Overall I finished 10th in the final
Very very happy with my results and has fired me up for next years race season.
A massive thanks to Emily plumb for having me over this very long and hot weekend!
I can’t thank everyone that supports me enough I really appreciate it🧡
Thanks to everyone that flew and traveled up huge thanks to mum for all her support over the year and this big weekend.
I can’t thank Jake Richardson enough for all the support and guidance over the weekend it really helped me a lot your a true legend mate!!!
A huge thanks to my sponsors that have helped me through this year !!!

On the weekend me and my best mate Cody Lewis swapped the dirt track for a bit of road for the 2023 postie Grand Prix in Cessnock, starting off with great starts and getting up into the pack sitting 3rd in the qualifier to make it into the A final with a couple of stacks and bike troubles we had to pull in leaving us sitting 28th, our awesome mechanic and pit bitch Rod working his magic and getting us back up and running we made it into the B final 1hr race. Bike still wasn’t the best but we made do with what we had getting some fastest lap times in the race we pushed each other and as a team we got the job done and picked up 1st place for our first yr racing the postie we were proud of our performance. Can’t wait to do it all again next yr. #39 will be back for a chance in the A final

Thank you so much to all the support and all our family and friends who came out to watch sitting in the cold rainy weather. A big thank you to Rodney Lewis

Central Coast Cup 2023

Over the weekend I competed in the central coast cup setting myself a few goals that I was determined to achieve

All of Saturday I was trying to figure out my starts and different lines on the track having a few good heats placing top 3 in some of those.

Sunday was a fresh morning but once again had set myself a few different goals from Saturday seeing myself make both finals in the mx open and pro 450,unfortunately in the mx open final I crashed out leaving my self in 12th position,in the pro 450 final I finished 7th overall which I was happy with.

Moving onto the central coast cup
With a shocking start I knew I had to work hard for a decent finish i was giving it everything I had went from the very back of the pack pushing my self hoping for the best result possible with only 2 laps to go I seen an opportunity to get a podium finish on the last lap and last corner I made my move resulting in a second place in the central coast cup 2023

I would like to thank my mum and my girlfriend Maddi and everyone that supported me over the weekend and a massive thanks to WILL wiggins racing #11 for all the support and encouragement over the weekend your a true legend little will will❤️

I would also like to thank my sponsors for there ongoing support

CENTRAL COAST CUP – IT’S ON THIS WEEKEND
by Peter Baker on behalf of Central Coast Junior Motor Cycle Club

The 2023 The Construction Team Central Coast Cup long track motorcycle meeting will be staged this weekend (September 9 and 10) at the Allen Park track at Somersby, near Gosford.

Since its inception in 2005 the Central Coast Cup meeting has established itself as one of the major non-championship meetings on the dirt track calendar.

There have been many significant names in the sport who have their names on the honour roll of winners in both the senior and junior (13 to U/ 16s) cups.

Two previous winners of the senior event will be trying to add another success to their records while as often happens there must be a new name added to the honour roll of winners of the junior event this weekend.

Host club member David Smith has a chance to become the winningest rider in the history of the event, an honour he currently shares with Queenslander Jace Castles with three wins each.

Hunter Club rider Luke Bush is the defending champion and he is striving to become only the second rider ever to win the event in successive years.

But there could well be a different rider standing atop the rostrum after the 8-lap final with a number of serious contenders headed by former Junior Cup winner Grant Charnock from Forbes who has recently scored a class win and a third placing at the Australian Senior Track Championships.

Kurri Kurri duo Cody Lewis and Angus Hutchinson, Brayden Gay and Jacob Richardson from the Hunter, Tamworth’s Blake Wilby, another host club rider Peter Smith and former speedway star Taylor Poole all come with good credentials.

There is only a small field for the Junior Cup with one Queensland visitor Bodie Paige throwing out a challenge to Hugh Hope-Hodgetts from Forbes, Jayden Holder from Kempsey, Max Earl from Newcastle and local Lachlan Russell.

The other junior classes will feature a number of riders who were successful at the Australian Junior Track Championships back in July including champions Jake Paige (9-U/13s) from Queensland, Cohen McCosker (7-U/9s) from the Hunter and both girls’ champions Romee Flewell-Smith from Queensland and host club rider Amelia Kotze.

Many of the riders contesting the Senior Cup are also riding in the MX Open and Pro 450 classes which will culminate in a final after five rounds of heats.

There is also a class for the Over 35s which always provides some close racing.

Action fires up on Saturday morning with practice then three rounds of racing for all classes before the Clock on the Wall KO format for both seniors and juniors in the afternoon.

Sunday action gets underway at 10 am with two more rounds and finals of all classes before the 8-lap finals of both the Junior and then Senior Cup will wrap up the program early in the afternoon.

Entry fee for spectators this weekend will be $10 per vehicle payable at the gate as a tax deductible donation to the St Johns First Aid.

The Allen Park track is situated at Debenham Road North, Somersby.

For more information about the Central Coast Junior Motor Cycle Club check out the club’s website www.ccjuniormotorcycleclub.org.au or contact Club President David Smith on 0412 506503 or Col Adams 0422 573923.

On the weekend I traveled to Quirindi for the senior long track Grand Prix 2023.
What a great weekend with great mates and amazing racing. Over 80 riders in both Mxopen and the pro 450 class and Iam very proud of my achievements.

What a weekend first time at Bathurst masters of many, Friday practices I learnt and got a feel for the track, I set myself some goals for race day and tried to push myself to the best of my ability, With a big filed of 450c and some awesome well know riders I came away with two 3rds and one 4th to make it into the reaper charge unfortunately I didn’t make top two but happy with my achievements over the weekend and sure will be back next yr.
