CHERISH FAMILY brand was inspired and created after the passing of Allen R. Smith, father of co-founders, Al-Majied Smith and Al-Mustafa Smith. Allen passed on April 7, 2014 at the age of 59 after a well fought battle with cancer. Smith for 40 years, an active, dedicated, and in

volved father to his four son and a doting grandfather to his seven beautiful granddaughters. Allen valued family and held his role as “head of the family” as a high honor, never aborting or shirking his responsibilities. As decision maker, provider and protector, he showed his love for them in a variety of ways. An extraordinary husband, great father, adoring grandfather, compassionate son and brother to his immediate family and “father figure” to those in his extended family, he was an outstanding man. A man of great integrity, Allen cherished family and we honor his legacy by fostering this brand to “CHERISH FAMILY”. Too often people take their family connections for granted. Our task is to visually and spiritually remind people to appreciate their kinships. A portion of the proceeds from the sale of merchandise will be donated to an established agency whose philosophy coincides with our mission

The Tree

The brand is represented by the symbol of a tree. The tree represents life, the branches represent connection and we are all extensions of that life. Branches grow in different directions; yet, the root remains as ONE…the family. The Brand

The Cherish Family brand products are consistent and reflective of all that we hold dear. These garments are developed using premium materials and quality construction. They were designed with an eye on longevity, being fashion forward and being an honorable and fitting tribute to our Dad. The date of his transition (4/7) will be respectfully placed unobtrusively on every garment produced by the Cherish Family Brand.
