Travel planning is key…but a sprinkle of spontaneity?
That’s where the magic is waiting for you.
Here’s how to mix in both to get the most out of your next adventure
👉Set the foundation
Nail down your must-see and must-do things. Think of it as your travel safety net—no missed flights, overbooked hotels and tours, or long lineups. Setting the foundation removes all the stress and FOMO of travel.
👉Flex Room
I always recommend clients leave gaps in their schedule for the unexpected. We always think we can pack more into an itinerary than we probably should (I’m guilty!). Use those gaps for exploring and doing things that spontaneously pop up along the way — things like local festivals, NA Bottle shops, hidden-away towns you’re driving through, etc.
👉Stress-Free Exploring
With your essentials covered, you can enjoy unplanned moments without worrying about missing out. You’re starting off knowing that you roam freely because your Wishlist items are taken care of.
Why Aruba is Perfect for an Alcohol Free Getaway…
Aruba is known for its white sandy beaches, amazing restaurants, and its vibrant nightlife.
But did you know that there is more to Aruba than endless beach parties?
I’ve traveled to Aruba for the past 30 years, but my travel persona used to be a boozy Caribbean gal.
This July I’m going to show that Aruba is not just for the party crowd.
Here is my perfect itinerary for an ideal alcohol free Aruban vacation:
🌴 Bucuti & Tara Beach Resort, Aruba is the ideal place for a romantic -as well an alcohol free- getaway. They don’t allow groups, they’ve switched their Happy Hour for a Healthy Hour with fresh smoothies and delicious mocktails, and their commitment to sustainability is commendable.
⛵ Isabella Catamaran Aruba private snorkeling excursion with Captain Tiko! One of the best ways to guarantee that your adventure is not a booze fest is to travel with your own group of like minded people. And this man really knows his island! Win/win!
🐡LionFish Snack Aruba in Paradera - this invasive species might be frightening to the environment, but they make a tasty snack. Support the local community and save the ecosystem at the same time😉
The beauty of the destinations we visit are often diminished by alcohol. Whether you are sober, sober-curious or simply someone who wants to get the most out of their travels, Aruba is an absolute paradise for all!
To learn more about how you can visit this paradise, shoot me a DM!
Oh hey, beach lovers 👋
Have you heard of Mauritius? This slice of paradise is comparable to the Maldives, but we like it a little bit more😉
And these three luxury properties offer some delicious non-alcoholic beverages perfect for the sober, sober-curious, and people who simply prefer to be hangover free on vacation.
Curated mocktail menus featuring zero free spirits, Heineken 0, and sparkling tea based non-alcoholic wine are all part of the lineup.
🌴
🌴
🌴
All three of these resorts are a step above your average beach destination. Excellent cuisine, top notch NA beverages, and views to die for make this destination - IMO -a step above the rest.
East Coast flights make it an easy getaway!
Which one of these sounds most like your style?

Why Your Host Agency Matters…
One of the ways I am able to bring my clients the best value and amenities is by aligning myself with the best host agency, consortium and suppliers.
My connections in the industry and my travel experience are what separate me from other travel advisors.
1000 Mile Travel Group, part of the Virtuoso Travel consortium, has helped me to grow and develop my skills and knowledge in the travel industry.
I am able to bring my clients amenities that they won’t find on the Internet or with other host agencies for that matter.
Over the years, I have made connections with hotel chains, cruise lines and tourism boards. Having those connections has allowed me to explore - and bring to my clients - the best in alcohol free travel and really travel in general.
Booking with a connected travel advisor like me provides you with not one resource in knowledge and protection, but an entire team.

Nobody talks about the customer service limbo you can end up in when you choose to book your trip yourself online.
There’s another way!
When you plan and book your trips with me you’re not only getting a trip that’s custom to you, you’re also getting 10/10 customer service.
❌ No 1-800 number.
❌ No stress if travel plans need to change.
❌ No need to be passed around like a hot potato from the booking site’s customer service line to the airline and back to the booking site.
Bottom line: customer service limbo just isn’t where you want to be when you find yourself in need of help on a getaway.
All it takes is a DM to me or head to the inquiry form in my bio to tell me more about your trip!
Why You Don't Need to Gain Weight When you Travel...
Focusing on fitness while traveling can bring numerous benefits for both physical and mental well-being. Here are some tips to help you stay healthy and avoid gaining weight while you're on the go:
1. **Stay Active:** Incorporate physical activity into your travel routine. Look for hotels with fitness centers or explore outdoor activities in the destination you are visiting. Walking tours, hiking, or even a quick bodyweight workout in your hotel room can keep you moving.
2. **Mindful Eating:** Be conscious of what you eat while traveling. Choose healthier options like fresh fruits, vegetables, lean proteins, and whole grains. Opt for local, nutritious cuisine rather than indulging in fast food or excessive sweets. Also, drink plenty of water to stay hydrated and avoid high-calorie beverages. Alcohol not only causes weight gain, but it also often leads to poor food choices.
3. **Plan Ahead:** Research restaurants that offer healthy meal options or pack some nutritious snacks for your journey. By planning your meals and snacks in advance, you can avoid impulsive choices that might lead to overeating or consuming excessive calories.
By incorporating these tips into your travel routine, not only can you maintain your fitness level but also enjoy your trips to the fullest without worrying about unwanted weight gain.
Traveling can be a wonderful opportunity to stay active and make healthy choices that benefit both your body and mind.

A Little Inspiration for Summer and Fall 2024 Travel...
My clients are excited to embark on their upcoming travels!
So how do you choose? Use this hack. 👇
Decide what it is you *actually* want from your vacation before you consider a destination, and narrow it down to 1-2 things.
Do you want relaxation and beaches, exploration and history, food and zero free spirits? What are you looking for in a vacation?
Once you’ve defined that, the choices are immediately more narrow.
Why work with me as your travel advisor?
Let me give you two really good reasons — stress-free trips and information about resorts outside of the cookie-cutter domain.
My journey in travel began over 18 years ago...
But my real travel journey began just over a year ago, when I realized that alcohol was no longer a “fun factor” in my life.
With this realization came a new opportunity for my business as well.
I knew I loved to travel, and that those travels would now look different.
I knew I wasn’t alone and that others who abstain from alcohol love to travel also, but aren’t aware of how this would look in a society focused on the consumption of alcohol.
Part of my job is to explore properties and destinations where the main focus is on an immersion in culture and the beauty of the landscape - Locations that aren’t endless booze fests.
My knowledge of travel and my connections in the industry allow me to guide my clients to the best properties for vacations not centered on the party scene.
I’ve been meeting with destinations, properties and cruise lines for the past two weeks inquiring how they are taking Mindful Drinking into consideration.
Stay tuned for my findings.
Yes, I’m a Travel Advisor who loves to travel.
But I’m always scoping out the best resorts, cuisine and excursions for my clients.
Especially those looking for an alcohol free adventure 🙌
Hey Foodies 👋 How can you make sure you don‘t miss out on the best food spots on your next big trip?
It will all come down to a few key factors:
➡️ What comes to mind when you think of a great food experience?
Is it indulging in gourmet meals? Exploring local cuisine? Or are you more of a hands-on person who would love to learn how to cook traditional dishes? Decide what you like so you can prioritize it in your itinerary.
➡️ How long is your trip?
Do you have lots of time to explore, or just a few days? Depending on how long you‘ll be at your destination, you‘ll want to make room for the best recommendations but leave space to stumble upon spots that may not be on Google.
➡️ Have you consulted anyone else?
Some of the best spots are found through word-of-mouth. I‘m a bit of a foodie myself, and I love researching and connecting with locals to find the best spots for my clients‘ adventures. I found my clients the perfect restaurant in Bermuda to celebrate their anniversary. And they loved it.
Find this helpful? Follow for more travel tips and tidbits and when you’re ready send me a message and let‘s start planning your culinary adventure.
Hotels who take all of their clients’ needs into consideration…
If I had a dime for every property that said that there aren’t that many non-drinkers, I’d be a rich woman.
Having a few bottles of zero free spirits, a couple of pre-set nonalcoholic drink recipes and trained bartenders is all we ask.
The money left on the table for those properties who leave non alcoholic options off their menu…🤯

Escape, Relax, and Renew: Three Benefits of an Alcohol-Free Retreat
Life often moves at a frenetic pace, and finding moments of peace and relaxation are rare. This is where the allure of alcohol-free retreats comes into play.
As a travel advisor who specializes in alcohol free travel, my connections in the travel industry enable me to connect you with properties that will best benefit your group.
Whether you are a wellness or sobriety coach, a yoga instructor, or any other group looking to make connections, I can find the location that’s right for you.
Creating a serene and rejuvenating environment offers your clients a variety of benefits for both the body and mind, allowing guests to unwind, reflect, and refocus without the presence of alcohol.
Here are three key advantages of embarking on an alcohol-free retreat:
Mental Clarity and Emotional Balance - By eliminating alcohol from the equation, participants can experience heightened levels of focus and concentration.
Physical Well-Being - Participants can indulge in nourishing meals, partake in invigorating exercises, and partake in holistic therapies that nurture their bodies from within.
Deep Connections and Lasting Memories - Whether engaging in group meditation sessions, exploring the surrounding nature, or simply engaging in heartfelt conversations, participants can cultivate meaningful relationships that extend far beyond the retreat itself.
DM me to find out more about the amenities your group will receive when booking your retreat with a travel advisor, especially one who specializes in alcohol free travel.
Traveling while abstaining from alcohol just got a whole lot easier…
When I vett my properties for alcohol free travel, I make sure that I use my contacts in the travel industry.
On a recent trip to Turks and Caicos, I connected with the beverage manager at Club Med Turkoise and requested non alcoholic wine -which they provided. Coupled with my cans of Buzzkill Wines sparkling beverages that I packed, I was comfortable with my choices.
What stood out to me, however, was the bartender that I encountered who made amazing mocktails. Without zero free spirits at the resort, the quality of bartending skills is imperative.
He tasted each concoction he made to ensure quality. Discussing his skills with the bar manager, I expressed that if their bartenders were trained to make quality cocktails they would have the skills to make all beverages of a quality standard.
Message to businesses: there is a whole clientele of NA drinkers ready to spend their money with you if you provide quality service and acceptable NA beverages.
No, we don’t want soda, juice or water. We’re adults.
🕒 While Cancun boasts some of the most beautiful resorts and beaches, people often shy away from them due to the amount of Sargassum (seaweed) the area encounters.
But some exciting news in the industry is that the Mexican Navy is installing anti-sargassum barriers along the popular beaches of Quintana Roo!
Also, the addition of beach sweepers and other ocean vessels have been implemented in the removal of this stinky plant!

When traveling, it's always a wise idea to know the sustainability practices put in place by the destinations that we visit.
These islands take their pledges seriously and ask that you do the same:
The Tulum Pledge - one of the most iconic properties in Mexico asks that its businesses and visitors sign a document to PROTECT and PRESERVE this stunning destination.
The Bonaire Bond - this truly unspoiled Southern Caribbean destination is a mecca for divers around the world. The Bonaire Bond asks that visitors be mindful of the ocean and to keep it Bonaire Blue.
When we visit these destinations, we must realize that we are in fact visitors. Leaving the property intact for those who live there and for future visitors - shouldn’t be a request but a duty on our part as mindful travelers.
Happy Earth Day to all!

Where is Chrissy Today? LLC
Writing is an important part of my life. That’s why I entered the field of education where I taught English Literature, Creative Writing and Public Speaking for over a decade as a way to educate others about the power of the written word.
Eventually, I earned my second Masters’ Degree and assumed the role of School Librarian for the Harpursville School District. During this time I also owned my own travel business where I created and managed trips for almost fifteen years. I also created content for my social media channels as a way to promote my business.
When the COVID-19 pandemic occurred and travel seized, I began to travel the island of Aruba with my Bitmoji, which garnered the attention of Ishwar Daryanani, the director of the Aruba Tourist Channel. I soon joined his team as a Social Media Content Creator and Manager where I would create social media content, conduct and write interviews, and build followers and engagement for their Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter accounts. It was then that I decided I would like to focus on my own part of the world, the Southern Tier of New York.
I have since obtained my LLC, and plan to offer my services as a content creator and manager for area businesses to help them grow their business and to illustrate all that social media has to offer as a business tool.
