In the intricate world of semiconductor manufacturing, every component plays a crucial role in ensuring precision, efficiency, and reliability. Among these components, ceramic lift pins stand out as essential for maintaining the delicate balance required during the fabrication process.
Ceramic lift pins are important because they provide stability and precision when inserting and retrieving wafers from the chamber. This precision is critical for maintaining the integrity and alignment of wafers during processing. Ceramic components are integral to the performance and reliability of semiconductor chambers. Their unique properties—such as high hardness, low thermal expansion, and being chemically inert—make them indispensable for various applications beyond lift pins, including liners, substrates, and chucks.
Leveraging the exceptional qualities of ceramic materials, we can raise the performance of what’s possible in semiconductor components, ensuring we can push the boundaries in semiconductor manufacturing. Learn more at www.coorstek.com/semiconductor.

Did you know that CoorsTek has been associated with the Colorado School of Mines from the very beginning? In 1916, Herman Fleck, head of the Mines Chemistry Department, studied CoorsTek Chemical & Scientific Labware. He compared it to Royal Berlin, which was the top line during this time. Our labware tested just as well Royal Berlin’s – sometimes even better! It was the results of these tests that led the company to invest in making labware, which led to the manufacture of technical ceramics.
CoorsTek and the Colorado School of Mines have continued their multi-generational partnership supporting educational efforts related to the advancement of engineered ceramics. Learn more at www.coorstek.com/en/news-events/news.

In 1914, the prestigious Daniels & Fisher’s department store in Denver hosted a cooking contest held in connection with the sale and demonstration of locally made products, specifically items made at the Herold China and Pottery Company (today’s CoorsTek) in Golden. The purpose of the demonstration and contest was to show the public the superiority of products manufactured in Colorado. The pottery produced a line of Fireproof China Cooking Utensils in three colors: white, brown, and green. At this time, Adolph Coors was investing in the Herold Pottery. Adolph Coors Jr. took over the management of the company in 1915.
In the decades since, CoorsTek has shifted into manufacturing technical ceramics, producing custom components for numerous industries. Learn more about CoorsTek at https://www.coorstek.com.

Over 70% of the world’s population over the age of 55 suffers from osteoarthritis, a degenerative disorder that occurs when the protective cartilage cushioning the ends of bones wears down over time—causing pain, swelling, and reduced mobility. Though osteoarthritis can affect any joint in the body it commonly occurs in the hips, and the increasing prevalence of this condition is fueling the demand for Total Hip Arthroplasty.
Because every patient has a unique anatomy, customized hip implant systems offer increased stability and durability, reducing the risk of complications such as dislocation, infection, and loosening.
With a focus on total joint replacements including ceramic bearing components for Total Hip Arthroplasty, CoorsTek Bioceramics works in partnership with our customers to create custom femoral heads with an expanded range of sizes and design options.
