Ear infections are a part of childhood. Many of them are mild and self-limited and will go away on their own, with only symptomatic treatment for pain/discomfort. If you have any additional questions or notice signs of a more severe infection, do not hesitate to contact your pediatrician.
Medications have the power to heal, but if they get into your children’s hands, especially without adult supervision, they can cause serious harm. By remembering to STASH, you can keep your little ones safe and your medication secure.
Fevers are a common concern for parents, but they’re also one of the most frequent reasons for Urgent Care visits.
If your child comes down with a fever, it can usually be treated by:
🚰 Staying hydrated
😴 Getting rest
❄️ Keeping cool
💊 Taking a fever reducer, if they’re old enough
However, if your child becomes lethargic, develops a splotchy purple rash on their skin, or has difficulty breathing or swallowing, bring them to an ER immediately.
Got sniffles? 🤧 We’re here to help.
If these remedies aren’t effective for your child, or if they have severe allergies, consider reaching out to their pediatrician immediately for treatment or a referral to Texas Children's Allergy and Immunology Clinic for additional testing: http://ms.spr.ly/61825ijIs.
Once your family’s spring break trip is planned, don’t forget to schedule your immunizations—especially if you’re traveling internationally.

Leave water beads off your wish list. 🎁🚫 Water beads are a popular sensory toy that expand hundreds of times their size in water. But if a child swallows them, they can expand inside their stomachs, causing serious harm. Consider using flax seeds or tapioca pearls for a similar sensory experience, without the risk.
