This time next week I’ll be doing pre-op requirements!

Today was a blood draw for additional cross match and additional testing. I was told there is generally one more cross match the day of surgery just for good measure.

13 tubes today. That makes between 50 & 60 tubes of blood drawn since I started this journey late August. Every one of them incredibly worth it.

Pre-op information and blood panel collection kits have been received! Pre-op blood panels are on March 14th and they are sending someone to my house to do the collections.

Pre-op and post-op instructions (& my Hibiclens) came today. Lots of instructions to follow.

Pre-op is March 21st @ 11am.
Surgery is March 23rd @ 730am.
(First appointment of the day!)

Jarrod will have a guest room at the hospital from Wednesday night until I’m discharged.

I’m expected to be released that next evening (Friday) and will have a follow-up appointment before I head home Monday/Tuesday.
No lifting over 10 pounds for 6 weeks (sorry Nox).
Out of work roughly 3 weeks (coordinator said prepare for 3-4).

It’s getting real!

After an unfortunate delay because of some insurance issues, we finally have a date for surgery!

⭐️March 23rd⭐️

I will be heading to Atlanta March 20th with pre-op testing the 21st. I will be out of work roughly 3-4 weeks. The center told me I might be able to do half days after 3 weeks, but to take it easy and see how it goes, even with a job like mine.

Please continue to say prayers that Jimmy & I remain healthy and that the surgery goes off without a hitch.

God is so good and we are both so ready for this!
(I’m not backing out Leigh…. so this is happening 😂)
