A word of caution about supporting the "moderate" or "middle ground" point of view. It is obvious that the liberals and progressives keep pulling everything to the 'left' which moves the middle to the left also. I will stand my ground and I refuse to be pulled to the left. Stand with me to protect the South Dakota way of life.

I carried SB203 on the House floor and it passed overwhelmingly yesterday with a 62-8 vote, I am am the House prime sponsor, This will allow small school districts to allow enhanced concealed carry card holders to be armed guards in their schools with the principals written permission. We always talk about protecting our kids lives but never actually do anything about it. This changes everything. Instead of investing tens of thousands of dollars to provide security, this will allow the principal of a school building to allow an enhanced concealed carry card holder to protect you children and grand children in the school If the school aboard approves. This may be ignored by the media but it will have an impact on over 100 School districts. .

Had a great time visiting friends at the Hurley volunteer fire department and from around District 16. Visited with friends from Marion to Parker to Canton and all in between who came to support the soup lunch. The Hurley VFD was able to purchase 5 new sets of bunker gear with the help of the grant I secured in last year's legislative session. I will work to secure more funding for VFDs when I move to the Senate next year.
