New arrival at Elvenheim Farm and homestead. Shortly before noon today our heifer became a cow today. We're going to name the little heifer "Kyra."

Cold and flu season are upon us. I made some delicious elderberry and elderonia syrup to keep those nasties at bay 😋

I found this awesome website, freeheirloomseeds.org, they have very specific instructions on how to place your order and they do ask for a contribution to cover shipping but the seeds are free. They have a large selection and it's going to double by the spring of next year! Totally amazing!

Having a milk cow is lots of work and a huge commitment but...homemade vanilla icecream and fresh whipped cream, topped with a wafer cookie or two...makes it all worth it. Thanks, my sweet husband ( David David L Oringderff )for the picture 🥰

So happy, both my nectarines have hatched! It will be a few years before they bare fruit but I can dream, right? 🥰😋

Our last baby, Ritchie, has turned into a bottle baby 😔 the poor thing kept loosing weight and he was already super skinny at birth. He also has some sun damage to his eye and he's got a sore leg. Luckily he's taken well to the bottle and after only 1 day he's gaining strength and is more curious. I think he'll be okay in a few days. Fingers crossed 🤞 🙂

I'm so happy! Our first calf was born today 💓 isn't she the cutest? It all went so well, I didn't even know about it till she was already on her feet. Hopefully the other 2 go just as smooth 🥰
