Tools:
Small glass lip gloss container(s) (recycle if you can, I use old Burt’s Bees containers.)
Small saucepan
Glass measuring cup or something similar
Dehydrator and coffee grinder (optional, only needed for making your own beet powder)
Fine mesh piece of fabric like muslin
Ingredients:
1 tsp Organic Almond oil1 tsp Organic Beet Root Powder (you can easily make your own with a dehydrator and a coffee grinder. Read below.)
1 tsp 100% Pure Lanolin (shea butter works well, too)
Procedure:
* If you have a dehydrator, and you would like to make your own beet root powder, it is incredibly easy to do. Using a mandoline slicer or a sharp knife, slice your beet into very thin strips and lay on the dehydrator screen. Place in a dehydrator set to a temp of about 100°F and dehydrate for 8-10 hours. Overnight is perfect.
*Once thoroughly dried, crunch up beet chips with your hands and place in the coffee grinder. Pulse until beets are a fine powder with no bits

Natural Blush Ingredients:

1/2 teaspon organic Cocoa Powder
1/2 teaspoonHibiscus Powder
An air-tight container for storage
What to Do:
1 A s with any homemade make-up recipe, the amounts vary by person. You’ll have to experiment with quantities of each ingredient to find the shade that works for you. I always start with a base of about 1/2 tsp of arrowroot and darken as needed, testing on my inner arm as I go .
2.
When you get your desired shade, store in a small jar or old makeup shaker and use as needed.

MIRACLE SALVE RECIPE
Ingredients
3 tablespoons beeswax pellets
¼ cup coconut oil
½ cup avocado oil or other oil of choice (sweet almond, olive or jojoba make great choices, too)
2 tablespoons shea butter
optional: 20 drops essential oil of choice
Instructions
Add a few inches of water to a skillet and place on your stove at medium low heat.
Place a glass jar in the water and add your beeswax to the jar. Allow the beeswax to melt - this takes 15 or more minutes
Once the beeswax has melted, add the remaining oils (except essential oil) and shea butter and let melt - this takes an additional 15 or more minutes. You don't have to stir - the oils will naturally blend together.
Once everything is melted and liquid, remove the jar from heat and add in your essential oil, if using.
Pour liquid into jars of choice (I like using THESE - this recipe fills 2 of those jars) and place on the counter for a few hours to harden.

Moisturizing Winter Lotion
Ingredients:
1 ounce kokum butter (I get my kokum butter here)
3 ounces herb-infused organic olive oil (click here to learn how to make herb-infused oil)
6 fluid ounces liquid of choice, i.e. aloe vera gel, calendula hydrosol, rose geranium hydrosol, lavender hydrosol, or a strong infusion of green tea
1/2 ounce organic vegetable glycerin OR raw, organic honey
1/2 ounce emulsifying wax
1/2 ounce stearic acid
0.1 ounce citric acid
0.1 ounce rosemary antioxidant (extract)
Method
Using a kitchen scale, weigh all ingredients.
In a small sauce pan, combine the kokum butter, herb oil, liquid of choice, glycerin (or honey), emulsifying wax, stearic acid, and citric acid.
Heat mixture on the stove over low heat, until the mixture is well combined and completely melted. Stir frequently.
Remove from stove.
Using an immersion blender (or a wire whisk), stir intermittently until cool, creamy, and thick.
Add in rosemary antioxidant (extract) and essential oils.
Stir well.
Pour into storage jars

All-Natural Moisturizing Face Cream
Ingredients:

1/4 cup organic olive oil
1/4 cup organic sweet almond oil
1/4cup organic grapeseed oil
1/16 cup organic coconut oil
1/16 cup beeswax pastilles (for a vegan version, use carnauba wax)
1 cup organic hydrosol of your choice (I use rose hydrosol, and it smells gorgeous)
1/2 cup organic aloe vera gel
1/4 tsp vitamin E oil (a punctured capsule should be perfect)
8-15 drops of essential oil (lavender, rose, orange, neroli, or sandalwood all work well)

Prep:

STEP 1: Blend the oils together in a stainless steel or glass saucepan, and warm on very low heat; the oils should be warmed through, but not be allowed to really heat up.

STEP 2: In another saucepan or double boiler, also on low heat, heat the wax pastilles until they’ve melted completely.

STEP 3: Take your hydrosol and the aloe vera gel, and combine them gently in a bowl. I generally use a small whisk to blend these, but take care not to whip them up: just swish them together slowly.

STEP 4: If you have a double boiler, warm it on low heat to prepare it for the last step. If you don’t have one, you can place a pyrex measuring jug or a clean, thick glass jar in a heat-proof saucepan that’s filled with enough water to surround the glass to the halfway mark.

STEP 5: As this will make a fairly sizeable batch of cream, be sure to have several clean glass jars and lids ready to go. I find that I can fill 5 baby food jars (the ones that are around 4 oz/128 ml) 3/4 of the way full, but you can also use smaller lidded cosmetic tins (1 oz or 2 oz sizes) as well.

Banana Sugar Body Scrub
1 ripe banana
3 tablespoons granulated sugar
¼ teaspoon pure vanilla extract or your favorite essential oil (optional)

Smash ingredients together with a fork into a chunky goop. Don't over-mash or it will become too thin. If you want a banana scrub for your face, reserve some of the banana and mash it separately without sugar. In the shower, pat the sugar mixture and gently massage over your body. For your face, gently massage plain banana there, avoiding the eye area. Rinse off with warm water.

Here are the benefits of using conditioner before shampoo:

Your hair will be volumes
You`ll get the required hydration! Most of the hair care experts believe that is better to use this method in the summer, because of the hair drying during the summer.
You will get healthy hairs which means that the hair treatments are getting deep inside to nourish your hair and to increase its lifespan.
NOTE 1: If you have damaged or dry hair is better to use normal washing. Also avoid applying conditioner to the roots.
NOTE 2: The reverse washing doesn`t go well enough with every shampoo. There are conditioners which are particularly designed for reverse washing

How to Wash Your Hair—The Right Way
1. Start with a rinse.

2. If you have long hair, condition first.

3. Lather up — but only at the scalp.

4. Be gentle!

5. Don’t rinse and repeat.

6. Add conditioner from the mid-lengths to the tips.

7. Finish with a cold water rinse.

More Hair Washing Tips…
Use a shampoo and conditioner that’s made for your hair type. If your hair is dry, choose moisturizing products. If you color your hair, opt for color-safe formulas. “Volumizing” shampoos tend to leave hair drier, so they’re best for fine hair types that would be weighed down by more moisturizing products.

How often you wash your hair depends on your hair type, too. If you have oily or fine hair, you may need to shampoo daily. Normal or dry hair can lather up closer to three times a week.
