PSA to anyone using Dishwasher pods with the packed powder like this one. (Cascade, etc)
Our kitchen sink backed up this weekend, and we had no luck with DIY methods. One call to the plumber and a few hundred dollars later, turns out it was our dishwasher pods that have been gumming up our pipes over time. Apparently when this powder is activated with water, it can get stuck in the pipes and create a thick, concrete-like barrier. It had to be scraped out with a special machine. He said he gets calls like these nonstop.
He recommended we switch to liquid dishwasher detergent (or liquid Pods are ok.)
Hopefully this can help someone else avoid a kitchen plumbing catastrophe!

Sad to say , they need to bring back the old school appliances . All these modern appliances are more problematic and more expensive to repair. Interesting to see what happens. I actually like LG. They’re not too hard to work on. Some refrigerators come with a 5 to 10 year warranty on sealed system parts & customers only responsible for the labor. Out of all the brands , they have the worst warranty on parts. 60 days compared to other brands ,one year warranty.
Also the French door bottom freezer tends to have the most problems with their icemaker set up being inside the refrigerator. . Let’s bring back the traditional set up and keep the ice maker in the freezer.

Another satisfied customer! Thanks for your continuous business support. This customer wanted to do a deep maintenance on her 48 inch downdraft Appliance . Unit was full of grease and would struggle to rise and drop when given the command. We advise to get these maintenance every three years to avoid grease fires and costly unwanted repairs.
