Crescent Park School

We sent these 5th graders off in style last week, including a final walk (and maybe a little run🏃🏼‍♀️🏃🏻) through the halls of school. We had to pause to take this group photo on the stairs they walked up and down so many times during their career at CPS.

We miss them already, but know they’ll continue to shine as Telstar Rebels 🌟

With AMAZING support from the Bethel Freemasons we were able to give away fourteen new bikes on Friday (and today for preK). These hard-working students were selected by each grade level team as the most improved students in their grade.

Matthew Borowski visited second graders this past Wednesday to share his knowledge of drones. He talked about flight while allowing every student to create an airplane to fly. Drones were explained in depth and everyone got to see how they worked and asked questions. Mr. Borowski also talked about career in engineering and robotics.

Yesterday was the BEST (GLOW) DAY in kindergarten 🌟

Yesterday, Ms. Lavoie’s second grade class went to Mrs. Welch’s preK class to teach them about the science of bubbles. Second graders read them bubble books and helped them build their own bubble wands. They then tested them together on the playground.

We have had a busy couple of weeks at CPS… Here are a few pictures of the 3rd grade cardboard carnival, 4th grade’s field trip to Hancock Lumber and the orchestra, band, and chorus concert 🤩🤩

Today Randy Harrington, a local forester, came and talked to Mrs. Conrad’s class about forest health, tree age, and what can make a forest healthy or unhealthy. They also learned about the three different lengths that trees are cut into before they go to a lumber yard along with the two different kinds of tree knots and how they can affect harvesting the lumber.
