Oh boy does this job feel like another lifetime! This was one of those jobs that felt like it was just meant to be. I did a little bit of everything, but my biggest task by far was the festival employees (crowd). Somewhere around the mark of >100 items of clothing. With 12 patterns cut by myself, using blocks I drafted over lockdown. All materials were natural, and items were made, then sent to be hand dyed by a local artist.

All while keeping on top of the many principal alterations.

Seeing these on set was mad. Seeing this on a big screen at the preview, even madder! Would adore another job like this.... Just saying 😏

Show: Conversations with Friends (2022)
My work: Many pretty summer dresses and so so much vintage alteration and reworking. Pattern cutting by me also!

Well it's been a bit of a mental year for me but I'm still here and still making lace bits and bobs. Only a few markets booked this year, but if you're coming along you can expect a better range than last year with some new additions like necklaces and bracelets!

Hope to see you there!

Little installation I did recently as part of Halloween walk around Hillsborough Castle and Gardens.

Being asked to make Rapunzel's hair out of straw was pretty daunting. But 20m of straw packing and some ribbon tieing later and I'm pretty happy with how it turned out!

Hopefully I'll get my act together soon and start posting a bit more again. I've a serious amount of markets planned on the run up to Christmas so I'll announce dates and places really soon. For now, I have a whole load of lace making to do.....

This was a fun one!!!

Celebrating Beat Carnivals 30th Birthday by putting on Electocarnival in the Mac was a totally inspired idea!!

I had such a great time working on these costumes and an even better time watching the performance! The photos that have come out so far look great and I really can't wait to see the rest!

Ps. I swear I work on other jobs aside from beat, it's just I'm not allowed to post about them til they come out 😭

I started back with Beat Carnival this week working on this year's St Patrick's Day Parade through Belfast! So I'll be posting a few throw backs starting with these few photos I made waaaayyyy back in 2019!
Still one of my favourite costumes I've made!

Brilliant news today! I sold so many earrings before Christmas that I had to restock my findings.

These little hooks are ✨100% recycled✨ sterling silver!!!

So pleased that this day has come, it's one step closer to my work being as sustainable as possible! I'll update you soon to let you know range of colours that these hooks will be available in as I still have some stock of the old hooks too.

I was so busy sorting out for East Block Bazaar I forgot to announce that I'll be at Bangor Flea next Sunday too!
I don't t think I realised until just now how close together these events were. Ah well, all the more fun getting out and chatting to you guys!
The Dance Duet costumes are getting collected today, I'll take some good photos and make sure to share them with you when I have more time!

20/10/2022

I had a very successful fitting last night so my current project is not long from being done. So I'm starting to look ahead to whats next. Which is why I'm really excited to announce that you can come and find me at East Block Bazaar on Sunday 30/10.
I havent onganised a costume quite yet but it would be rude for me not to! Comment below what I should dress up as!

You would not believe the size of my cotton scraps stash. I've been building it probably since I was about 17 and between work and donations over the past few years it's gotten out of hand!
These little hairbands are helping that situation and saving me from throwing out even the smaller pieces! The perfect little zero waste accessory.
Come see them all at the climate craic festival on Saturday! Cant wait!

19/09/2022

These little lace earring are made from 100% cotton using a very tradition technique called lace tatting.
I had such fun making these and can't wait to share them with you at this Saturday.

14/09/2022

It's been a while but I've finally booked myself another craft stall! Really looking forward to being part of the festival. I'll be sharing titbits of what I'll be selling on the day soon. It's a free event so if you're around you should stop by and say hi!

14/09/2022

I just got a message about my page being shared to some Mums looking competition dance costumes. Just wanted to pop a little post up saying hi! This page hasn't been used much in a while as I get better feedback from Instagram.
If your flicking through my pictures please note that a lot of the relevant experience I have hasn't been released on TV quite yet so I can't share images. I have also done work experience with the Birmingham Royal Ballet during my degree.
Looking forward to hearing from you soon and getting some class wee costumes made for the little ones!

Conversations with Friends came out recently and seeing all the photos again is reminding me just how much I enjoyed working on it! Getting to really use my sewing and pattern cutting skills was such a step forward and I loved it so much!

So I'll share some photos of my favourite makes and alterations over the next bit. Starting with one of my last.

Designed my Lorna Mugan this dress was patterned and sewn by me in a stunning liberty fabric!
