As a lifetime natural athlete, the one phrase I hate and always try to break down is ‘don’t lift too heavy and get all big and bulky’. This is pretty much as big as I get 🤣😂. At 12 weeks out from Ms Bikini Universe, I’ll lose quite a bit of body fat which will make me look more muscular but in reality I’ll be smaller. No PEDs, ever; just appropriate nutrition and training (lifting heavy weights coupled with cardio). Don’t be scared to lift the heavy stuff ladies.

PATIENCE. All ‘diets’ work with patience. Exercise programs work with patience. Quick fixes are almost always temporary - patience and a little grace for your mistakes (there’s always mistakes) is the healthiest way to get your healthiest body.

Choose your hard. Hard now and easier later OR easy now and harder later. Your health is your greatest currency. Without it there’s disease and a lower quality of life. Take care of it.

It’s simple, but not really. The zealots want you to believe that carbs are bad, vegan is the way to go and protein is bad for your kidneys. Don’t believe the fads, believe the science. Protein is essential for healthy body function, carbohydrates are your brains preferred source of fuel, and other than preference there are no absolute benefits to a vegan diet over any other controlled calorie diet.

HISTORY
Juneteenth is the oldest national commemoration of the ending of slavery in the US.
The holiday’s name, as you may have guessed, is a blend of June and Nineteenth.
June 19 was technically the day Order No. 3 was dispatched, but that didn’t mean instant freedom for Texas’s nearly 250,000 enslaved people. Many slave owners waited until after harvest serving harsh punishment if disobeyed.
The first Juneteenth celebration took place in Texas.
Red drinks are a Juneteenth tradition.
June 19 is now officially a federal holiday.
