Since the opposite of love is hate, why do we make it the subject of debate?

God gives us the wisdom to discern. When will we learn?

Don’t let others persuade you that wrong is right, when you go into the voting booth.

Make up your own mind like God gave you a spine and vote for truth.

You can be certain, when I close my voting curtain, alone with only God and me inside,

I won’t be ashamed to stand before God because someone, ”took me for a ride”.

No matter how hard you push or shove. I won’t fall for it. I know that God is love!

A PRAYER OF APOLOGY

Almighty God, we come to you with a prayer of apology for our nation, its disrespect and lack of adoration. Many of us say that we believe in you, but far too many of us don’t truly believe you and what you tell us to do. We say that we believe that you are at the same time present everywhere, but in our public speaking it seems we don’t care. We refer to physical body parts in such vulgar terms that it is a shame and a disgrace, never pausing to teach our children what is in poor taste. We believe that everything made you created, yet we have taken it upon ourselves to determine who should be in society or who should be hated.

Minor contact or an incident of accidentally touching someone is often resolved by one party pulling out a gun. Politicians with self-ambitions wanting to advance their positions tell lies faster than the hands of magicians. Sworn into office with our hand on a Bible, with eager anticipation of telling untruths about our rival. Apparently, the religion that some of us practice allows us to see something wrong and turn our head. Such religion without question is dead. If a “nation under God” is what we purport to be, we will need to do a gut-check, and then give You your proper adoration and respect. If we claim, “in God we trust”, believing in you, and believing you is a must. AMEN. -HLIJR

Galatians 5:22 (NIV)

This is where there is a need for closer analysis. No matter how difficult it is for us to envision the fruit of the Spirit, it is composed of all these components, love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.
My body is composed of my head, arms, legs, hands, feet, etc. But my head alone is not my body. It takes all these components to make my body just as the fruit of the Spirit is made up of all its’ individual components. A cake recipe contains sugar, butter, eggs, flavor, baking powder, flour, and milk. These ingredients combined make up a cake recipe, not just one or two of our choosing. Instead of sending 'thoughts and prayers' after the next tragedy, pray, consider these thoughts, and see if you agree or disagree:

"An amendment and a commandment, how can they co-exist? The right to bear arms and the right to life are issues on which both consist. The freedom of religion granted under the Constitution, the freedom to do God’s will; with an added responsibility to obey the commandment, “Thou shall not kill”.

We have the constitutional right to bear arms, but, we also have a biblical responsibility to be free of anger and strife. And in maintaining the right to bear arms, we must endeavor to do so without infringing upon another person’s right to life.

Maybe the answer is not in arms, but with a different and creative type of ammunition; which could possibly be the only way to do away with the inevitable attrition. It could stop some of the killing or being shot accidently in the head, with the mandatory use of smart bullets instead.

With the exception of the military and law enforcement, make smart ammunition available for any type of gun; thus, placing the responsibility on the owner to justify the need for an assault weapon. It would also be their responsibility in a court of law, to prove their need for this type of protection. And a judge or jury would have to then decide on their punishment or sentence them to correction.

Sure smart bullets will probably come with high initial production cost. And there still will most likely be an occasional life lost. But the truth is that all lives matter, and we need to stop all of the debate and the un-necessary chatter. Let us remember: “Life is short. Death is sure. Sin is the cause. Christ is the cure. For it was because of love that God sent his Son, of that we can be sure.”

Smart bullets should have the ability to temporarily incapacitate, which would give God’s creatures another chance at life, without prejudging their fate; thus, avoiding mistakes at all cost, because it is His will that none of us should be lost.





But until such time that smart ammunition becomes reality, what is it that God would require of you and me? The answer comes from the book of Micah, that we are to love mercy and walk humbly with God, how much plainer could that be? Yet we continue to discuss and debate with seemingly every discussion laced with hate. And in the interim, we continue to kill; with no answers still.

While the unfortunate needless debate will still go on regarding the types of arms we can bear, at least we can curtail the killing occurring now as though we don’t love or care. How can we continue to say that we love God who we have never seen, yet be so cruel to any of God’s human beings……………. oh how mean!

So let those who wish to bear arms for their life and property to protect. But at the same time God’s commandments must be given proper respect. Who will invent smart bullets if they have not been invented already I don’t have a clue. But if I were an inventor I know what I would do. I would pray to the Lord for the wisdom, scientific knowledge and math. Trust Him with all my might and allow Him to direct my path.

We can quote the Bible until we are blue in the face and hold up the Constitution for all to embrace. But unless we are able to resolve this issue with love, we will not be able to please the Holy One above. We will continue down a path of self-destruction where we are destined to dwell, a path that will sentence us to a life of living hell.

It is my sincere prayer that smart bullets will come to fruition, as an acceptable form of ammunition. That it might bridge the division and separation existing in our Nation, bringing about restoration and salvation. May this dream of smart bullets become a reality and this land in which we trod, can become a nation with love for God.
