Happy winter solstice! The day with the least amount of sunshine :(
In the UK, we canβt make vitamin D from the sun in the colder months, as the sun isnβt high enough above the horizon. This explains why so many people get the winter blues.
HAPS was born out of suffering from winter blues. We need more easy, natural ways to support mental wellbeing and give your body a boost during dark times. HAPS nutrition isn't the only action you can take to , but it's a good start. A "gateway drug" to taking bigger positive actions that make life better

"I often start the day with a delicious smoothie - one serving of HAPS with frozen fruit and banana. I love the tropical flavour! Even living in sunny Portugal, the stresses and anxieties of life still catch up with me. I can't tell you how much this supplement has helped me to not spiral down into negative thought patterns and behaviour. It's very subtle, which is what I like, and it inspires me to be healthier. I'm excited that it's now being sold at my favourite supermarket (plus online). So if you're in then go buy some and !"
One of the most powerful tools to help support mental wellbeing is acceptance. Pain and suffering are an inherent part of human experience. It's impossible to stop bad s**t happening but we can get better at how we respond. Negative feelings can be a trigger to slow down, learn more about ourselves and make beneficial changes. So... learn to surf and ride the waves! πββοΈπββοΈ
It's amazing what can happen when you get outside your comfort zone. 3 years ago, took us on an incredible journey and mountain hike. Wild camping, ice cold river swimming and terrifying cliff edges. Challenging, thrilling and unforgettable. 1 moment... forever. Thanks guys πβ°π
We're in store today and tomorrow! Pop in for free samples and haps vibes. Lovely chatting with all the wonderful customers of these awesome supermarket rebels πβ€

Love is a kind of resonance that occurs when two or more people share positive emotions together. Research shows this state is deeply nourishing on many levels and is just as possible between strangers as it is between people who know each other well.
Our mate Josh shared this top tip:
Realise and respond to the many daily opportunities to experience micro-moments of positive resonance. Share heart-felt smiles with strangers in the street; be friendly and attentive to the person at the supermarket checkout; have a laugh with the ticket collector on the train. After this, everyone involved will be happier, healthier and more likely to experience additional positive connections later in the day.
Reposting this quote as it feels very relevant right now. These wise words have helped me forgive hurtful actions. It's not easy to forgive others, especially when they have caused pain. But the alternative of escalating anger and sadness doesn't help anyone involved. Forgive others for your own peace of mind and try to be empathetic π

We're back in Portugal!
It's not an easy journey to leave the comfort and familiarity of your homeland. A massive, scary decision filled with uncertainty doesn't happen overnight. It's been the result of many small positive actions leading to big changes.

7. Resilience
Life is always going to have highs and lows. Happiness wouldnβt exist without also experiencing sadness. Bad things happen and thatβs never going to change. Our emotional response however can change. It never gets easier, you just get better.
Action: Make a list of what helped you bounce back from difficult times in the past.

6. Purpose
People who have purpose in their lives are happier. They also experience less stress, anxiety and depression. Purpose might come from work, family, charitable activity or religious beliefs. We each find purpose in different ways but it always involves being part of something bigger than ourselves.

4. Nutrition
Your ability to respond healthily to situations β whether with joy, laughter, sadness, anger or fear β and then reset to a calmer place, involves a whole cascade of chemical reactions. For each of those chemical steps to occur, you need specific vitamins, minerals and other nutrients . If you donβt have enough of them, it becomes incredibly difficult to reset and find your happy place.
Action: Eat nutritious food, drink more water and use supplements - buy HAPS, obviously :)

2. Acceptance
Love yourself, exactly the way you are. Nobody is perfect, even if it looks that way on their social profiles. Now more than ever we compare our real lives to the seemingly real, but carefully edited lives of other people. Focusing on our flaws rather than our strengths makes it much harder to be happy.
Action: Ask someone who knows you well to tell you what they think your real strengths are.
Each day during we'll be sharing 1 of our 7 recipes to
1. Connection - Our relationships are the most important thing for our happiness. Close relationships with family and friends provide love and support. Broader social connections provide a sense of belonging. Research has found having strong relationships leads to a happier, healthier and longer life. So, itβs important to strengthen your relationships and make new connections.
Action: Call a family member or friend to chat. Learn the name of someone new today.

Life is full of ups and downs. Ebb and flow. You can't prevent the inevitable suffering during low times. Just try your best to ride the waves! We went to see the world's best surfers ride the biggest waves in Nazere last month. This seagull had a great view of the carnival street party :)
There's actually a lot of science that explains why it's so hard to break out of your comfort zone, and why it's good for you when you do it. Get out there and try new things. Fun things are out there waiting for us if we just seek them out. They wonβt all be fun and the unknown can cause anxiety but the right amount of stress helps us grow and develop. Just like how our muscles grow when we put them under stress, gradually increasing the weight. However, pushing too hard can actually cause a negative result, and reinforce the idea that challenging yourself is a bad idea, so take it slow π’πͺ
