No matter where we are in life, there are so many favours and blessings from Allah to be thankful for. It could be our friends, our family, our health, safety from oppression or just the roof over our heads. Should we then not turn to the Qur'an to find out more about the provider of all these blessings?
May Allah allow us to benefit from the fountain of knowledge, advice, wisdom and reflection that is to be found in the Qur'an:
Abu Al-‘Âliyah reports that a man once asked ‘Ubay b. Ka’b – Allah be pleased with him – for advice. He said:
Take the Book of Allah as your leader (imâm) and be pleased with it as a judge and ruler. It is what your Messenger left amongst you. It will be an intercessor for you. It is to be obeyed. It is a witness never doubted. In it is a mention of you and those before you, and judgment for whatever happens amongst you. And in it is news about you and whatever will come after you.

A man asked one of the salaf, "How much Qur'an should we read?"
He replied, "Equivalent to the amount of happiness you are looking for."

ARTICULATE THE ARABIC SCRIPT
This course is designed to help students familiarize themselves with the Arabic script. The course will go in depth of where each of the 28 letters of the Arabic alphabet is articulated from. Each letter will be shown in different styles depending on its position in a word (beginning, middle and end) and how it connects to different letters. Students will be given opportunity to practice articulating each letter and also writing the letters using the Medina Script as a template.
This course is suitable for complete beginners who are not familiar with the Arabic script and intermediate students want more practice with letter articulation. Non-English speakers are welcome as Urdu and Bangla support will be given.
DATE: Saturday and Sunday 12th and 13th September
TIME: 10am-3pm on both days [total 10hrs]
COST: 30pounds
