Liz and Hilary Do Food
We're Liz and Hilary, and we're best friends. We also like to eat. A lot. And at all the best places. We're making the best of it.
Christmas Eve dinner at Sakura Japanese Restaurant - delicious omakase for one

Yule ain't Yule without a cheese plate! Liz made this incredible charcuterie board for our Yule celebration this past weekend.
Liz's review of Sakura Japanese Restaurant, which is our favorite sushi place, hands down, bar none (I mean, until we go to Japan).
Have you been to Sakura? Are the things on the menu you've been wanting to try but are afraid to ask about? That's what the comments are for!
I could never say enough about how AMAZING Sakura is - from all the hosts, waitstaff and chefs who are just so friendly, welcoming and knowledgeable about every dish... if you already go here, you ROCK! (and you understand how much of a gem this restaurant really is) but you have not LIVED until you have tried the Supreme Omakase- I travel down from CT as often as I can to enjoy the completely delectable, delicate, perfectly portioned sushi, sashimi and other treats the insanely talented chefs create for our dinners there. Every bite is perfection- the flavors and feelings the food evokes is second to none for me, I can't explain(as a foodie) what this experience does for me. It is worth every single penny and so much more. Do yourself a favor and head over there TODAY!
We love Cibus! And coquito is delicious.

Hello Fellow Foodies! I know it's been a while since we've posted, we've been so ravenous that we've eaten before taking pics! Hilary's going to do a separate post with restaurant recommendations shortly - if you're not able to make a reservation, get gift certificates and go in the New Year!
Famished Foodies
More about us:
Liz is a 42-year old LMT, High Priestess, kitchen witch, and self-taught cook/baker/purveyor of all fine foods (and some not-so-fine foods).
Brought up in a Sicilian-Irish heritage household, there were many different foods we got to enjoy. I used to love watching my Grandma Cleo cook (burn) different things, as well as my Sicilian grandparents and my great great Aunt Mary ‘make the sauce’ when they would come visit. My parents would always be cooking something fun and different for us as well. I used to love it so much that I would try to cook my own food when i was as young as 3 years old. My poor parents! ;) When I was 16, my family had the lucky ability to travel to many destinations outside of the USA and it only aided in my love and passion for trying all the new and different foods I could!
Liz currently enjoys cooking, baking, watching food shows like Anthony Bourdain Parts Unknown, Iron Chef, Buzzfeed’s Worth It, The Great British Bake Off and multiple shows on The Food Network. She will try anything new at least once, and is always looking for a great place to enjoy food with friends... mainly with her best friend Hilary- but there will be several “guest foodies” in our vlogs and pictures too!
