Well I just finished up the first part of my training at Emmons Guitar Co. I learned a ton over the last 6 days. Working along side these two gentlemen, Darin Shiflett, and Kelcey O'Neil has been a true honor and privilege. They are the owners/operators of the store brand/store front/and fabrication shop. The company’s rebirth, is an awesome thing to see, and be a small part of.

I got to fully install key heads, put fretboards on, wire pickups, help install changers on a new build.
Trouble shoot an All pull guitar, dismantle and reassemble it, and do the same with a 70 fatback single neck push pull.

I still have so much to learn, but can’t wait to return later in the year, to continue to learn, and eventually complete my technician course.

If you are a lover of steel guitar, and have and are curious about stopping by Sevierville, rest assured. It’s Steel Guitar heaven. Do yourself a favor, and check it out, and meet this wonderful team. Shot out to Justin Wilson, for giving me a tutorial on cutting/polishing under carriage rods, and trusting me with a cut list.(note, he’s much faster than me, and probably had to finish what I didn’t get to-owe you bud)

Again, wonderful people, and a superior product.

Help us wish big boss man Casey Prestwood a happy birthday!

Back in September, 2019 we drove down to Brady, TX to record a batch of songs with Mr. Justin Trevino. He nailed it.

Kevin Finn David Knodle Jeffrey Martin Tyler Hall, Floyd Domino and Hank Singer helped bring these songs to life and with amazing harmonies from Amber Digby, Justin himself and a special sit in from Sierra Ferrell.

To say this album has surpassed my expectations, well… it has.

I’m proud of these songs and I’m hoping they speak to you too.
