My name is Genevieve Guillaume and I am a 3rd year Bachelor of Science in Nursing student that has created my own unique fashion line called “Genevieve Guillaume Fashion Designs”. To me fashion is it’s own route to help develop and express one’s confidence and love for themselves. By allowing free expression it also gives way for people to acknowledge their own physical beauty by finding what garm
ents compliment them and helps them look and feel their best. With that said, my brand is all about designing and creating elegant but practical clothing that everyone can enjoy. My designs can be worn to many different events from formal wear to street wear. Whatever the event I can create a garment that will turn heads. I get inspiration from anything and everything which helps me become more creative with my designs than someone that thinks inspiration can only come from celebrities or the latest trends. I am not afraid to make mistakes and sometimes it is those mistakes that end up creating something even more beautiful than I imagined. Sometimes I feel that because I’m not in school for fashion I bring a different perspective to the fashion industry which has helped me become successful in the various fashion shows I’ve done such as Mississauga International Fashion Affair Show and holding my own charitable fashion show “Change for Haiti” which was successful in raising money to provide school supplies for disadvantaged children in Haiti.
