I've been crafting & creating things for practically my whole life, many mediums, but jewelry designing became my main focus about 15 years ago. This page will focus on my jewelry designs, but I will probably include other creations from time to time. I grew up in San Francisco in the 60's and early 70's in a great neighborhood; lots of families mixed in with lots of bohemian artists & craftsperso
ns whose doors -- or garages -- were always open to the kids in the neighborhood to watch, learn, and get involved. There were fine art painters, a sculptor, a potter, a leather worker, wood workers, and jewelry makers, and I also learned to knit & crochet, macrame', sew, embroider, etc. My Mom made a lot of my clothes, my favorite being my Halloween costumes! Looking back, I realize how fortunate I was to grow up in such a creative and richly diverse neighborhood, and I am grateful to all who took the time to share their expertise, as that is surely where my love of creating began. I have been selling my creations at home boutiques and craft fairs for most of my adult life, but started selling on Etsy in 2006. As of April of this year (2017), I now have a studio to create in... which is wonderful. Not only do I have a designated space to play, create, and have fun, I also gained a lot of real estate at home! :)
Expressing myself creatively keeps me sane, so to speak, allowing me to focus my attention away from the stress of day to day life. You could say it's my happy place. :)
