NEW TRANSPORTATION SCHEME ON CAMPUS

The Federal University of Technology Akure students' Union leaders sends warm greetings to all its Union members.

It is displeasing to the students' Union Government of this great citadel of learning seeing the monopolistic nature in which the shuttle drivers have run the transportation scheme on campus which have been a means to oppress the students.

In lieu of this, the Students' union government have provided another means of transportation to end the monopolistic nature of the transportation scheme on campus by providing set of tricycles.

The tricycles will ply Obanla area of the University non-stop for the mean time.

Route: NORTHGATE - SEET - SAAT - SMAT - FBN LT - 1000LT - SET/SEMS - BANK ROAD/SENATE - NORTHGATE

These tricycles will kick-start tomorrow 23rd of February 2017 and the boarding fee is * #20*.

The students union leaders urge it's members to comply with this new transportation scheme and also ensure smooth relationship with the drivers.

Thanks for your usual Cooperation and expect many of this to come.

ALUTA CONTINUA!!!!

A good leader is a self actualized leader. Self actualization is the highest form of human growth. Talk of a good leader who

• Is moving above himself and serving the association
• Is not seeking fame and attention
• Is not into hiding the truth for the sake of looking good
• Is focused on specific, achievable, and measurable goals and demands outcomes
• Encourages people to be accountable for their actions
• Does not pay attention to being politically correct but ethically so
• Does not make idealistic promises but realistic ones
• Does not make idealistic promises but realistic ones
• Thinks globally and acts locally
• Remains level headed and has a sense of humor
I'm gladdened we have a good leader as the PRESIDENT of our great association...

Happy birthday to *AYODELE MATTHEW OLAMIDE*, a friend, brother and political leader. You're a BLESSING to NASS and FUTA at large

God bless your new age.
More in abundant blessing and more zeros to your account😀😉

FUTASU UPDATE
FUTA CRISIS

1. Solidarity greetings to members of the Federal University Technology, Akure Students' Union.

2. Indeed it's so very unfortunate the situation that happened yesterday on campus. What happene yesterday was a failed attempt to scuttle our coming back to campus on 3rd of jan,2017.

3. It was so shocking and surprising for the protesting union to see that our resumption is coming to reality, it was so unbelievable to them until they saw with their own eyes how the university management restored power to campus, the renovation of the hostel ongoing was very shocking and the recent new registration portal.

4. It might interest you to know that their calculation was for us to retaliate and this might leave the university management with no option than to postpone our resumption date and this will be based on security advice.

5. It is also very important I shed light to some of the issues that caused chaos on campus yesterday

7. ASUUcoop hostel has just been completed, In an effort to hear the opinion of the union, a meeting was slated and besides this, some department are facing difficulty using the new registration portal; it might also interest you to know that the registration portal was put in place because our official website has been sabotaged by some unknown unscrupulous element and all efforts to bring it back on tracks proved abortive

8. The above and some few issues are those to be discussed with the Dean.

9. It was so annoying when I got down to students affairs division, an office block that has until Monday remained open was under lock and key, the Dean sent a carpenter to unlock it and it was unlikely unlocked in our presence.

10. The key was unlocked and few minutes to that, members of the union in their hundredth attacked me and my entourage. They also chased the carpenter away.
The JAC have proven themselves to be uncultured by manipulating lies and framing people up, they have tested our patience and the battle line is drawn.

11. It was so disgraceful that men of the police who were suppose to maintain peace joined hands with them.
Let me also clarify the air by saying, " the so-called arrest was a misconception on the path of the police officers which they would duly pay for".

12. I must on this note appreciate you all for your concerns, I received many calls, text messages. This gives me more confidence.

13. I'm equally happy to say that in the presence of the leadership of JAC, the Commissioner of Police, Ondo State Command has stated that nobody amidst protest has the right to stampede or lock down offices as it is not their properties and as such they have no right to close any building.

14. Let me equally reiterate that our Jan 3rd resumption date is still very intact; it remain sacrosanct.

15. Every necessary thing needed for smooth academic calender has been put in place.

16. Thanks and God bless.
