The League of Women Voters condemns the recent acts of arson targeting ballot drop boxes across the country, including in Oregon, Washington, and Arizona. This kind of action disrupts the voting process and poses a direct threat to every voter's right to cast a secure, counted ballot.

Every eligible voter deserves a safe and fair opportunity to vote. The League calls on authorities at all levels to investigate and protect the integrity of our elections. Election officials must communicate with impacted voters to ensure they have another opportunity to cast their ballots.

Let’s stand together to safeguard our voices. Our democracy depends on it!

From walking together from Saint Philip AME Church "On the Boulevard" to casting our ballots, to the amazing Soulful Riders Mc escorting us to the Savannah Civic Center, it was a day to remember! 🏍️💪

🎉 A Successful National Voter Registration Day! 🎉

On September 17th, the League of Women Voters Coastal Georgia (LWVCGA) hit the ground running! Our amazing volunteers were at 8 Chatham County high schools and 3 college campuses, ensuring students were for the upcoming November 5th General Election.

👩‍🏫 30 volunteers helped high school students across Chatham County, and 19 volunteers registered college students at Georgia Southern University and Savannah Technical College . Together, we helped hundreds of students check their registration status, register to vote online, or complete paper forms—ensuring every eligible student has the chance to make their voice heard! 🗳️

Thank you to our volunteers for their dedication and hard work and to the schools and students who welcomed us. This effort was a huge success, but the work doesn’t stop here!
