Due to some unforeseen circumstances tomorrow’s drum circle at The Leon Valley Public Library had to be canceled. We will be back next month.

The Toca Bongo Flip-Cajon is a very versatile instrument. One instrument provides many sounds. Great for drum circles and especially for folks in wheelchairs. I use the strap to attach the instrument to the wheelchair so the participant doesn’t have to think about holding the drum. They can just enjoy playing! Great stuff from Toca Perxussion!

She’s 100 years young, sharp as a tack, quick with, and super sweet! Oh…and she drums!!!

TOOLS! At this drumming session (from a while back) we combined The bongo flip cajon and different drums with Boomwhackers to create fun and exciting rhythms and melodies. These residents really stepped up their game on this particular day!

I was very fortunate to catch part of a 3-day workshop by Gordy and Zoe Ryan. Gordy shared some great playing and some great insights from his time playing with Babatunde Olatunji! I couldn’t get enough!
