๐ช๐ง Monday Morning Mindset:
Itโs ok to have doubts about your ability to succeed.
Weโre only human.
Just donโt let your doubts cause you to quit on your goals.
Seek out mentors how have made it to where you want to be.
Then ask them what theyโve done to move past the doubts and make it to the top of the mountain. ๐
Remember, thereโs always a way if someone else has done it.
Have a great week.

Just realise that great things take time, effort and focus.
No matter what it is.
Donโt expect easy.
Donโt expect overnight.
As Bruce Lew once said...
โLong term consistency, trumps short term intensity.โ
So start thinking long term.
Be it getting ripped...
Getting a degree or writing a book...
Building solid relationships...
Or developing a great career...
The best stuff takes time.
Realise that a mighty oak WILL eventually fall if you only invest in cutting away at it...
CONSISTENTLY...
..OVER TIME! ๐ฐ
So what do you want to achieve in 2018?

"The Pain You Feel Today Is The Strength You Feel Tomorrow" - Unknown
On your journey to success you will feel pain.
You'll have setbacks.
You will doubt yourself.
Especially as you venture off the path of least resistance into the unknown.
You'll wonder why the heck you set off in the first place...
You'll be asking yourself, "Is this really worth it?"
"Am I even doing the right thing?... Surely there must be an easier way?"
Keep going my friend.
If you have to, get help.
And be sure to tell that nagging voice that wants you to play small, to "shut the hell up"!
It WILL kill your vision if you let it.
Don't quit! There are greater things to come!
You are about to learn and grow in ways most people NEVER will.
It will NOT be easy... That's for sure.
But it WILL be worth it.
Not just for the things you'll achieve along the way, the "trophies" and the praise, but ultimately for the person you will become.
That my friend, is priceless.

Getting Ripped in Your Mid Thirties...
Isn't about just looking and feeling great...
It's about WAY MORE than that.
It's about achieving something most people NEVER will...
It's about COMMITMENT to a higher standard and your word...
It's about DEDICATION to a challenging goal and the process...
It's about SACRIFICE for the greater vision and being a positive role model...
It's about HARD WORK even when you don't always feel like it...
It's about PERSISTENCE despite setbacks and doubts...
It's about FOCUS despite temptations and distractions...
It's about the intangible CHARACTER traits that are slowly vanishing in these "easy come, easy go", follow the herd times.
Personally, I think everyone should at least try to get shredded once in their lives.
Not just for how they'll look and feel...
..or the added health and energy benefits...
..or for the respect and self confidence they'll gain...
But for the person they'll ultimately become in the process.
And look..
It's definitely not always EASY. There will be difficult days...
However with the right plan and a strong support system...
It is possible...
And MOST DEFINITELY WORTH IT!
If you are serious and want to learn and grow to levels you've never been before, drop me a PRIVATE MESSAGE (on my personal account) and let's talk.
Your Body Is Your TEMPLE!
Don't let it go to waste! You only get one.
It's a bit like a car, except you don't get to buy another one once you break it.
Now sure... your body may not be perfect...
And I get it... there may be folks with "better" or younger bodies that you...
And I understand... You may be super busy and have a ton of commitments that other folks don't have...
But understand, everyone has their own battles... so stop watching them and using it as an excuse to not act.
We have our own battles.... trust me.
In fact, there are seniors in wheelchairs who still find a way to exercise and look after their body. Just watch a few youtube videos if you don't believe me.
So do YOURSELF the BIGGEST FAVOUR you ever can...
Look after what you got...
As much as possible.
Don't allow your circumstances to become excuses that lead you to neglect THE MOST IMPORTANT thing you have.
Your body... your temple.
The most precious gift you could ever have.
I'll be 37 this summer (not that far off 40!)...
And I realised that despite certain things being outside of my control, there are many things I still can control.
My thoughts, my words (sometimes ;) ) and my actions.
And you have the same power!
So harness it my friend!
Train your mind and your body!
Anyway, enough of the "motivational pep talk"...
Here's how you can get started with simple actions.
Take baby steps...
Try this...
1) Stop watching negative media.
You'd be surprised how much TV and other junk affect your mood and your ability to perform. Watch inspiring movies if you have to and stay away from "the news".
2) Get around positive people who exercise.
See as people, we rub off on each other. For good or for bad. Choose positive company, get positive results.
3) Start drinking more water - It's the fuel of life.
Add some lemon if you find it hard to drink plain water. Whatever it takes to start drinking more water. The more hydrated you are, the more likely you'll take the right actions.
Ever noticed how bad your choices are when you're dehydrated, tired or hungry? Avoid those things like the plague.
4) Slowly reduce junk food.
Buy smaller portion sizes if you have a sweet tooth e.g. instead of a huge chocolate bar, buy the smaller option. Also, try to limit keeping junk food in the house.
5) Start exercising more.
Go for a walk every morning or evening. Or every other morning or evening. If it's raining, train at home. Make it easy to succeed and keep it fun.
Play your favorite music whilst working out. Pick a sport that you'll enjoy. Try yoga if you don't like the idea of lifting weights. Or go for a swim if you don't like running. Pick your poison.
Bonus Tip - Train as soon as you can each day. Usually the earlier the better until you've developed momentum and discipline. Why? Because for many people, asking them to train at night after work is like asking them to fight an 800lb guerilla.
So, there you go... no excuses now! :)
That's plenty to get you started.
And look, DON'T TRY TO BE PERFECT. Just aim for little daily progress. And even if you mess up once in a while, it's ok... just get back on track and keep going.
Hope that helps.

Imagine being in your BEST SHAPE EVER this year.
How would you feel to look amazing with a lean and strong body?
To wake up every day with tons of energy and be able to keep up with your nieces and nephews or kids?
To get more respect from your work colleagues and loved ones?
Well, you already have the potential to do so. It all comes down to your habits.
After all, we are ALL creatures of habits. Just look around.
Some of us have a habit of eating a huge greasy unhealthy breakfast every weekend (or every day) and not exercising.
The result? For many it's a huge belly, less energy, lower s*x drive, lower self esteem and a shorter life.
And it's a choice. Nobody forces us to overeat and neglect our body.
Others chose to eat a light breakfast (or fast until noon or later) and hit the gym.
The result? For many it's tons more energy, more self esteem and confidence in ourselves and looking better as we age.
That's also a choice. From personal experience.
And the great news is there is no perfect way of running your life that you have to be boxed in by.
But just realise your habits ALWAYS create results.
And when it comes to your body, are you happy with the results you're seeing in the mirror?
Or on the scales?
If not, then change your habits.
Let me say that again. Don't like what you see or feel?
CHANGE YOUR HABITS.
That's the thing you can control.
Your health and happiness truly depends on it.
If you don't know how to create the right habits and how to make sure they take you where you want to go, then invest in a coach.
It's the fastest and easiest way to ensure success.
But be sure you choose someone who knows how to create excellent habits and is living proof they work.
Don't pick a coach who is out of shape themselves. Pick someone who has the result you'd love to have.
The ball is in your court as they say.
Remember, change your habits and you change your destiny.
"An object at rest stays at rest and an object in motion stays in motion with the same speed and in the same direction unless acted upon by an unbalanced force." - Isaac Netwon (Physicist)
Now you may be wondering what physics has to do with getting lean and staying in shape.
Ok, let me put it into context for you.
So today I'm celebrating entering 133 weeks back in the gym!
Quite an accomplishment, considering all the crazy shizzle I've experienced outside of the gym over the last 2 and a half years.
And I might be tempted to take some time off after all this hard work right?
After all, I've earned it right?
And maybe you have too?
Besides, this is the time of year most people skip the gym.
Most gyms are empty right now.
Why, because most people are busy following the herd.
The shops are full and so are the bars.
My advice?
DON'T STOP TRAINING!
Keep training.
Kept the momentum. You're long term health and goals truly depend on it.
Sure, maybe slow down a little and enjoy life a little. You're not a robot.
However, you have to understand the laws of nature.
Look...
If you come to a grinding halt, like most people do this time of year whilst they pile on the pounds and get drunk, you'll lose all the benefits of momentum and make it MUCH harder to get started come the new year.
"An object at rest stays at rest" - Isaac Newton
So, have some fun... but do not fall asleep at the wheel.
Stay alert. Stay on top of your game and keep training.
And on that note, it's time for me to hit the gym.
I don't want to... but I have to. My goals depend on it.
Food for thought.
Have a great weekend.

Do you want to get in your best shape EVER in 2017 and then KEEP your results permanently?
Have you ever wondered why it's so hard to STAY in shape?
Here's why...

The Real Reason You Canโt Stay In Shape! | The Real Reason You Canโt Stay In Shape! moadmin/ December 6, 2016 Man I wish I had this information years ago. All I can do it share it with you now and hope youโll be smart enough to listen. Look, if you think youโre going to be able to create LASTING results in your body and your fitness by onlyโฆ
I love FAT LOSS info as much as the next guy...
..but if you've already got a load of fitness books, DVD's and articles bookmarked...
..then what you need is not more info, but more ACTION!
Now, that's common sense right?
So why do so many people not take action on what they already know???
FEAR
Because they are afraid to fail or even afraid to succeed.
So what's the solution?
Find someone who's been where you are right now, and has already arrived where you want to be.
Someone who knows how to coach others to success.
Then follow their lead until you're ready to lead yourself.
That's what I did.
"Every battle is won before it's ever fought" - Sun Tzu
So, to in shape & stay mentally sharp, even whilst on holiday, I've come prepared.
Skipping rope = Check
Coffee = Check
Mindset book = Check
Time for a quick Bodyweight workout in the sun. ๐ช๐
LEARN to make a plan and then execute it even when you don't always want to.
"If you fail to plan you plan to fail."
Here's how to stay in shape, even when doing fun things like going to the cinema!
Simply use a digital scale to measure your treats ahead of time and stay within your "calorie budget". No over eating!
Simple!๐๐
I might put all these practical tactics in one of my future books???
What you reckon?
Slow down if you must, but NEVER give up on your DREAMS!
You WILL regret it!
And on that note...
Just done 45 mins at 10 speed, but for the last 15 minutes I've dropped it down to 6 speed... To honour my recovery period.
However...
It's all strategic.
It's all progress towards my goals. That's what counts.
I will still live my vision. It's just a matter of when, not if.
So, in what area of your life have you allowed yourself to come to a grinding halt?
We all face setbacks... Buts it how we face them that matters.
So, what will it cost you in the future if you choose to stay there?
How will you feel next year?
In 5 years?
Or a decade when you have to look back?
KNOWING you could be living your dream if only you kept going!!!
Just start... Get help if you need it and then keep going!
The price you're willing to pay today, will determine your future dividends...
Legs day... Let's go!
If you want something bad enough and believe you can, you will find a way.
You need to take action and you'll need discipline, but every sacrifice you make will edge your slowly towards your goals.
For example, every Saturday morning I wake up, weigh, meditate and then "run the numbers".
I measure my progress towards my vision. (Below is a sneak peak of my current progress).
This takes discipline and commitment. I'm not "dabbling", "having a go" or following the latest fad.
It also means I don't get to party every Friday night til early hours in the morning, waking up hung over and dehydrated like I used to.
But when you keep your eyes on the bigger picture, the short term sacrifices won't matter.
Why? Cause you won't even be thinking about them. You'll be too excited about seeing your dreams come true.
Have a great weekend my friend. ๐ช
Did you know??? We are all quitters!
That's right, everyone is a quitter. Including me.
It's in our natures to give up when things get tough. Just look around.
The difference however, between those who succeed at getting their goals and those who don't, is that the successful ones have figured out how to overcome their natural tendency to quit.
As I talk about in my book Think Yourself Lean...
.."they use systems, accountability coaches and habits to move things in their favour"...
And once you do that, success is virtually guaranteed.
That's the real "secret".
Have a great weekend! ๐ช๐ผ
Don't waste time "talking" about getting in shape. Just start.
You'll never get the time back you've wasted on procrastination, but you may just add a few years if you start now.
Another workout in the bag.
Probably only 60% as good as it could have been, but I still made progress.
Whilst the perfectionist thinks "if I can't get to have the ideal workout, I won't bother"...
Whilst the optimist thinks "I'm happy if I just make progress" and shows up...
In the end, the pessimist gets nowhere, whilst the optimist covers great distances.
Just take action...
"There is only one way to happiness and that is to cease worrying about things which are beyond the power of our will." - Epictetus
Focus only on that which you control e.g. Your body, training and eating habits etc.
And don't spend your time worrying about that which you don't.
Have a great day peeps!
