Ryan is a product designer who turned into a design educator. He has worked as the sole designer at various early-stage startups. Earlier this year, he decided to start UX Jetpack to help designers land their dream UX job. He has also been mentoring on different platforms and building designer communities at alumni.design and the Vancouver Mandarin-speaking designers community.

Students will work in teams of 4 people to develop a functional prototype, pitch, and present a UI/UX presentation to solve a client problem in one of the three streams. Teams will then present their product via a 12 minute presentation, followed by a 5 minute Q&A from our judges.

With over 10 years of experience in the Data Science industry, Dr. Keith Edmonds holds the position of Principal Data Scientist at McKinsey & Company. He has expertise in advanced machine learning, from ideation through engineering to deployment and change management.
๐ป Veronica Tan - KPMG
Veronica is a Manager in Technology Strategy and Transformation for Management Consulting. Her clients tend to be heavy assets (infrastructure, construction, fleet heavy, mining, etc.) or health care, and she works with technology in various industries.
๐ป Nattie Chan - Plum
Nattie is a Software Developer at Plum who has transitioned into the tech industry from a non-traditional background. Her skills include, but are not limited to, Python (Programming Language), Angular, Django, TypeScript, Docker, and SQL. She previously worked at Alloy as a Data Engineer before moving to her current position.
