I originally wrote the music with pen and paper in December of 2017, while in Aruba. Later on in 2018, I recorded the first version. Back then it was a rather mellow song called ‘So Long’. It was ‘okay’, but I felt something was missing… So, as usual, life happened, and I left the song on the shelf for a couple of years…. Until 2 weeks ago, when I finally felt the inspiration I needed to rewrite the lyrics and turn the song into what it is today.

I originally wrote this song way back in 2014, right after I visited Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. At the time I was totally obsessed with these old-school Brazilian songs by artists like Antônio Carlos Jobim, Joao Gilberto and Stan Getz. I guess, sometimes a song just needs to sit there and age a little, right? So now, 7 years later, I decided to finish it.

Tratami Bon means 'treat me well'. It's in my native language . Special thanks to Thaissa for the lovely harmonies!
