WHEN I SAY THE SHELTER IS CRITICALLY OVER CAPACITY IT MEANS WE MAY LOSE DOGS, WE MAY LOSE PATCHES. PATCHES IS A GOOD BOY HAVING A HARD TIME IN THE SHELTER, HE IS AT RISK 💔 PLEASE HELP ME SAVE PATCHES BY SHARING FAR AND WIDE!

Patches is a a sweet boy who loves people and other dogs. He knows the basics sit, come, wait and does pretty good on leash. Patches is people and treat motivated to learn the rules of the roost. Even a short break can reset these pups and make room. Patches likes to play ball and with other dogs. He's also a white Pitbull mix and they tend to not get adopted.

Patches is good with other dogs, all people and unknown on cats.

Patches is an approx 2 year old Pitbull mix, he's pretty tall but not sure on his mix. Patches is nuetered, his fee is $30.00. Patches is utd on vaccines and hw negative.

Attention all lovers of white semi-fluffy dogs. We have a treat for you. Meet the very beautiful and extremely pensive Nadine. She's a 82 pound Pyr probably lab mix who is pretty much perfect. She will be traveling North this weekend and needs a home to call her own.

This sweet gal is a super chill zen master at living in a home. She loves nothing more than to hang with her peeps watching TV, hanging out, going on walks, or chilling in her fenced in back yard. Nadine is a lover of all people, big and small. She doesn't jump on kids at all. She is very very gentle.

While Nadine is also a lover of all dogs (well, maybe not those of the extreme Tigger variety), she is not a fan of cats. They are her mortal enemies. Not sure why, but there you have it. She will need a home that is free of felines and small woodland creatures.

Nadine is perfectly crate trained, and does not mind being left alone for a few hours at a time. She would prefer her family to be home more often than not.. so if you are like me and leave the house at 6:30 am and get back home between 5-7 pm, this is not the dog for you.. Don't worry, I have a husband that's home early and the worlds best dog walker to help!

Folks, Nadine needs to go on Transport this weekend. Her southern foster has an emergency and cannot keep her past TODAY!! We are heading to VA, MD, PA, NJ, NY and Connecticut. We can stop near Pittsburgh, Cincinatti and Louisville on our way back.

Folks we need your help. Meet Chad. He is a 7 year old Boxer mix with only three legs (see comments for obligatory stub photo). Life has handed him lemons, and he has yet to be able to make Lemonade out of them. Let me tell you his story.

Chad has been failed by so many humans. He was hit by a car while living with his first family. They dumped him with a badly broken leg at a shelter in rural Alabama and there he sat for two weeks until we were called and rushed to help. The break was so severe (picture in the comments) that we had to amputate his leg. The good news here is that most dogs do not care If they have 3 legs and Chad has been one of them. Being a Tripod has not hindered him at all.

Fast forward after many months of healing, and Chad was placed in a home in Connecticut. Chad doesn't like to be left home alone. He is crate trained, but when he's alone he barks a lot. Because of this, Chad was returned. Fortunately, we found him a new family to call his own. One with kids and a fenced yard. Life seemed perfect. Unfortunately the couple's children had pretty severe allergies and he was returned again. (Yup, that's 3 families who let him down).

Chad is currently in Nashville and is not happy at the kennel. Folks, this is a great dog with a disappointing past. Chad has tons of personality, loves to learn tricks, he is a dream on the leash, and he is great with children. He still has a zest for life and would be best with kids over 8 who won't get knocked over by his three legged shenanigans. It will take time and love, but the return on investment will be pretty spectacular, kind of like the stock market these days... said no one ever!

Friends, we need your help. Chad needs a home to call his own. A home where he can "dog", hang out in a yard and then curl up on a couch or a bed. He will require patience, consistency, love, food and rules.... in no particular order. This is not a plug and play dog. He's been through so much in his short life he just needs someone who is home more often than not, and someone who will put the time into him that he so desperately deserves.

To everyone bitching about Texas Roadhouse allowing that dog who was deployed twice, to eat a steak in the restaurant on Veterans Day, I'd rather sit next to him than rowdy, bratty kids all day long. I can guarantee that dog is cleaner and more quiet. He isn’t up being allowed to run around like he (and his parents) were raised in a barn!

14-year-old Tinkerbell had a foster lined up, but the foster is no longer able to take her. Now Tinkerbell is the only little senior from the group of hoarder dogs AHF took in that doesn't have a home. Can you help Tinkerbell by opening up your heart and home to her? ❣️

Tinkerbell is a very loving, sweet girl who is looking for little more than a lap or couch to lay on. She gets along with other dogs and walks nicely on leash. While she enjoys her napping, she still has plenty of personality and life left in her!
